The area
Gabet is a small and cosy holiday home area on the peninsula Hindsholm north of Kerteminde. Gabet is located in the middle of the lovely nature and with view towards Enebærodde on the opposite side of the Odense Fjord. The beach is a stone beach, but you can take a swim in the clear and fresh water from the bathing jetty. The area is also an outstanding area for angling. In the very tip of the peninsula you will find the unspoiled nature of Fyns Hoved. Here you find small idyllic roads with holiday homes and beautiful nature beaches, unspoiled nature and bird reserves The idyllic fishing town Kerteminde is worth a visit with many exciting shops, restaurants, cafés and sights for adults and children. You can visit, among others, Fjord & Bælt, a maritime centre with seals and underwater tunnel, the museum of the painter Johannes Larsen, the Viking monument “Ladbyskibet” and all the exciting galleries in the area. Kerteminde also offers lots of activities during summer with flea markets, sport events and the annual Cherry Festival.
