Description
The ferry from Aarøsund to Aaro takes less than 10 minutes - ferry is not for free, but not expensive. A few minutes walk from the ferry dock you will find this newly renovated holiday home. This house is on two levels and has on the ground floor an utility room, a kitchen a dining and TV room with wood stove, bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with shower and spa. On the first floor are two bedrooms with single beds as well as a large living room with table football and a sofa bed for two. From the living room there is a door to balcony. There are also a play tower with slide and 2 swings in the garden. During the summer season, Aaro offers a sea of cultural experiences - among other things. You can experience summer concerts, play a game of golf or visit the local winery.
The area
The idyllic small island Årø is located 15 km from Haderslev. The ferry is sailing once an hour and has space for cars, and the crossing takes 10 minutes. In the small harbour the local fishermen and sailing boats create a nice atmosphere. Årø has a very beautiful nature, a varied animal life as well as marked paths for biking and hiking. The island is a nice place to spend a holiday if you want to spend it in calm surroundings. The historic town Haderslev is also worth a visit with many exciting shops, cafés and restaurants. During summer you can experience the town from the fjord during a sailing trip with the boat Helene.
