The ”seashell town” of Løgstør
Løgstør is an experience for all senses. It is unspoilt nature on the fantastic island of Livø with all the seals, the marvellous heathlands, the sailing trips, the deep canyons and the high cliffs. Here you find peace and tranquility. If you want more action, there are also lots of opportunities for physical activity. The woods, the fjord and the heathlands all invite to outdoor activities for the whole family. Due to the location close to the Limfjord, especially the activities on the water are popular. The rowing boat, the kayak, the canoe and the surfboard are all popular on the Limfjord. Of course, there are also excellent opportunities for angling in the seashell town. The golf course with a view across the Limfjord from all 18 holes is situated within walking distance from the town centre. North of Løgstør you find the Viking castle of Aggersborg and south of the town, there is the monastery of Vitskøl. During summer, you can join boat trips on the channel, which is also called “The Channel by the Water”. Frederik 7´s channel runs from Løgstør to Lendrup with walking paths all the way.
