Spacious holiday home in 2 levels, which is modernized in 2015. The house is located in the middle of the idyllic island Lyø with views over the sea including Faaborg and Horne in the horizon. There is regular ferry from Faaborg and the crossing takes about 40 min. There is about 1km. from the small port of Lyø to the house. The house consists in the ground floor of a bright and well-equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 4 guest toilets, 7 bedrooms and a boiler room. From the hallway there is stairs to the 1st floor. Here is a combined dining and living room with pool table, foosball, PlayStation, fireplace and a small kitchen arrangement with a dishwasher at the end of the room. In addition, there is a living room with additional 4 sleeps on 2 double sofa beds. From this room there is access to a covered balcony overlooking the archipelago. There is a large wooden terrace on several sides of the house. The house is ideal for family gatherings. There are also good fishing possibilities at the shores of the island.
The area
Lyø is about 7 km southwest of Faaborg and there are about 100 residents on the island. Lyø town is located in the middle of the island. Here there is a church and the round cemetery. There are narrow alleys winding between the old half-timbered houses and the ponds. There are nice beaches on the island and for anglers, there are fine fishing opportunities. On the north side there is a marina with 100 berths. At Lyø there is a rich flora and fauna and many ducks and wading birds nest here at the island. There is a local grocery store and there is a small inn and café. It is possible to get on a ride with horse-drawn carriage every Saturday with departure from the port of Lyø - it's a round trip of about one hour.
