This cosy and secluded wooden holiday house invites for activities and cosiness in quiet surroundings on a beautiful sloping natural plot.
Interior
The house contains two fine living rooms, one of them is a nice conservatory with a beautiful view and the morning sun. The other one has a TV, radio/cd player and an open fireplace. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other one with bunk beds and two single beds. A neat bathroom with a shower. A kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave and access to the conservatory. The terrace is divided into two sections, one is covered, the other one is open. Here you can off course use the barbecue, relax and enjoy the silence in the evening sun. On the adjoining boundary planted area you can play croquet and other ball games.
Location/ the area
If you love nature and walks and bike rides, this cosy wooden holiday house on the most beautiful sloping plot makes a perfect starting point. The house is located in quiet surroundings and is via cosy woodland paths close to one of the nicest child-friendly sandy beaches in Denmark, at Stenstrup Lyng.
The beach invites for swimming, sand castle building, game playing or simply enjoying the sunset on a blanket with a glass of red wine. You can easily bring a surfboard or a kayak as well. Visit the old borough Nykøbing Sjælland, have lunch on the cosy harbour in Rørvig where the kids can do crab fishing, or visit the small fishing village Havnebyen at Sjællands Odde, where you can buy fresh fish for the lunch table. Also don’t forget to visit some of the many local artists and the popular farm shops in the area.
In the nearby city Højby there are fine shopping possibilities, restaurants, a church with beautiful ancient limestone wall paintings, and a nice golf course.
If you are into flea markets, in the city of Vig for instance there are plenty of opportunity to do a bargain from Easter to the autumn. The kids will love a visit to Odsherred Zoo, play miniature golf or visit the amusement park Sommerland Sjælland.
