Description
If you're looking for nature experiences, undisturbed tranquillity and beautiful sunsets, you'll find it at this holiday home, which is a part of a larger, older farm on the west coast of Samsø.
Interior
The spacious holiday home is in a renovated former horse stable which today has functional spaces and rooms. The entrance is in the west-facing wing, and here you'll find a spacious entrance hall with storage space. The entrance hall is also a distribution corridor with access to 4 good bedrooms with painted cement floors. The bedrooms have comfortable double beds and are furnished with bedside table lamps, chairs and a table.
The kitchen area is the main gathering space of the holiday home with a good open-plan kitchen and sofa arrangement. The kitchen has all the necessary facilities such as a dishwasher, oven, hob and coffee machine. There is also plenty of counter space and cupboards for storage. Next to the kitchen is a large dining table where all the guests can gather.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the living room with a sofa arrangement where you can relax, play a game or switch on the TV with Danish TV channels.
In the centre of the kitchen/living room is also an older wood-burning stove that can provide warmth and cosiness during cold periods. In addition to the stove, there is also a new heat pump. Firewood for the stove can be purchased at the local roadside stalls.
From the kitchen area, a patio door leads down a few steps to a tiled terrace and the garden to the north-west.
From the kitchen you enter the large utility room, where you'll find an extra fridge and washing machine. There is also access to the holiday home's bathroom, which is spacious and bright with a good walk-in shower.
From the utility room, there are doors leading into the private part of the holiday home. This area is only used by the owner when there are no guests in the holiday home. To read the electricity meter, you must pass through the owner's kitchen, but otherwise guests in the holiday home must respect the doors marked "Private".
Outdoor
The house's unique location close to the west coast of Samsø and the large outdoor areas make this holiday home very special. Around the house is a lawn with young fruit trees and living windbreaks that provide shelter from the wind and weather. The large garden is fenced, so pets and children can run free without running away.
When you enter the red gate from the dirt road, you enter a partially enclosed courtyard environment.
You find the entrance to the holiday home in the west wing. In the courtyard is an old carriage gate, which today serves as a large, covered terrace made of boulders. Here you'll also find sun loungers and garden furniture, with room for everyone to eat and spend time together. To the northwest, there are two more tiled terraces with beautiful views of the sea and sunsets.
From the holiday home, there is a gravel path that leads directly down to the water just 200 metres away.
Guests are allowed anywhere on the property outside, so there is plenty of space for games, ball games and other outdoor activities.
Location
After 1.5 kilometres on a gravel road behind the village of Tanderup, you will reach the property Tanderup Mark 6.
It's just 200 metres to the beach to the west, with wide views of the countryside and surrounding fields. With great distance to any neighbours, you can be completely secluded and private, enjoy the silence and be close to Samsø's nature. The area around Tanderup offers rich wildlife with hares, deer and many bird species. There are country lanes and good beach paths, ideal for walking and jogging. If you follow the beach northwards, you will reach Sælvig, where there are ferry routes to Jutland. If you head south, the legendary Ilsemade Helligkilde is on the beach right by the water.
A 10-minute drive from the holiday home puts you in the centre of Tranebjerg, Samsø's main town with a wide selection of restaurants, activities and grocery stores. Distances on Samsø are relatively short and you can easily get around the island. On the southern part of the island there are many cosy villages that can be visited by bike. On the opposite coast to the east is Ballen, a lively harbour town in the summer with many restaurants and shops.
Travelling further north, don't miss a walk by Besser Rev or in the beautiful Nordby hills. Here you can go for long or short walks, but the views of the landscape and the Kattegat are always stunning. Nordby is also always worth a visit as it is a very well-preserved village with an iconic clock tower and a street pond where you can sit down and enjoy an ice cream.
