Interior
Contemporary house with 4 good bedrooms, 3 of them with double bed, the last one with a single bed. The house is tastefully decorated. The lounge contains a wood burner, heat pump, TV and a bed recess and has access and a view of the front terrace. The open and light kitchen has a dishwasher and access to the back terrace. There is a bathroom with shower and a superb sauna, so you can even enjoy cold winter evenings in this lovely house. The outdoor shower is equipped with hot water but only open in the summer season from May to October. On the surrounding wooden terrace you can enjoy the sun all day long, and deer are crossing frequently in the secluded garden.
Location / the area
The holiday house is located in quiet surroundings only 1100m from a perfect sandy beach with dunes and an adjacent forest. Rørvig is a part of the beautiful Geopark Odsherred, Denmark’s first UNESCO Geopark. Here you find an abundance of exciting attractions and fantastic event-routes in the unique landscape. Try f.inst. a walk to Skansehage or around the idyllic Dybesø Lake. At the harbour in Rørvig, the children can fish for crabs while you shop for fresh fish, and you can also take the cosy ferry to Hundested. There are many really good restaurants in Rørvig, and during summer, the popular flee market is on every Sunday. In Nykøbing Sjælland you find really good shopping with several independent shops selling local produce and handicraft art. Hempel Glass Museum at Anneberg with the workshop GlasSpiren for the children, Anneberg Culture Park with art and concerts or Odsherred Museum with the history of the region are certainly also worth a visit. The children will love a day in the amusement park Sommerland Sjælland which has been elected Denmark’s best activity for children.
Seal safari, seaweed safari or an evening cruise on the fjord, arranged by the local nature school, are certainly also activities to be highly recommended.
