Holiday apartment at Kokkedal Castle
Kokkedal Castle is located highly on a hill surrounded by beautiful nature close to the idyllic town of Brovst. The castle´s long and exciting history can be traced back to 1016, and because of many unexplainable phenomena the castle is said to be one of the most haunted in Europe. The castle was being renovated thoroughly and was opened as a castle hotel in 1990 with Prince Joachim as a protector. At Kokkedal Castle you can relax in historical surroundings and walk around in the large park with lawn. At the castle you can enjoy a nice dinner or join a wine tasting in the castle´s historical wine cellar. During summer you can also use the indoor swimming-pool and the shared sauna or play tennis. As a guest you have also free access to the Internet at the castle. The large lawn in the park invites to ball games and recreation. There is also a playground for the children. If you want to use the castle's banqueting hall, it can be rented if booked in advance. Kokkedal Castle provides the perfect framework for corporate events and family celebrations.
This holiday apartment is situated in a former stable building in the castle park and has its own little terrace. The apartment for 4 persons is decorated tastefully and includes a living room with 2 sofabeds and an open kitchen with electric cooking plates. Tiled bathroom and 1 bedroom with double bed.
2 sets of bed linen are included in the rent. Further sets can be ordered at the castle (DKK 70,00 per set).
The area
Kokkedal Castle is only 40 km away from the large town of Aalborg with many exciting shops, cafés and restaurants. There are also several golf courses in the area.
