If you walk along the beach, you can quickly reach the marina and downtown Bogense. The area is also perfect for kitesurfing.
The area
Bogense is an idyllic and charming harbour town with large marina, many shops, restaurants and an aquapark. The beach by the marina (Blue Flag) offers a very nice sandy beach and shallow water. On the idyllic old market place you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables once a week. Funen’s largest town, Odense, is 30 minutes away by car. Here you find, among others, the zoo, the house of Hans Christian Andersen and many exciting museums. Odense offers a large net of walking streets with all kinds of shops as well as nice cafés and restaurants. From the town centre you can go on an idyllic boat trip on the river Odense Å.
