Description
The little red house, "Mara House Marstal" is close to the beach and the harbor - and close to the pedestrian zone. Mara means "sea" - "Everything is water beside Ærø". It is not necessary to have a car with. The buses are free on Ærø and you can get on the walk. Mara House is a real skipper house, which is characterized by small rooms - and close to the harbor. The house is about 80 m2 on 2 floors and can accommodate 6 guests. The house has a living room with a double sofa bed and 2 bedrooms each with 1 double bed. There is a functional kitchen, and a enclosed patio. Ærø has a lot to offer, both summer and winter.
The area
The old maritime town Marstal is Ærø´s southernmost town with a maritime atmosphere. In Marstal you find the small built-together houses, paved alleys and many shops and restaurants. Close to the town center there is the idyllic harbor with ferry harbor and the Maritime Museum. South of Marstal you can enjoy the beautiful beach “Eriks Hale” with small beach cottages and calm, child friendly water
