This is how you get a bite
You will find brochures with local fishing possibilities at your local Feriepartner office. Here you can get information about where there is the greatest chance of catching fish and directions to local angling associations and shops that have equipment, advice and guidance about fishing.
Remember your fishing license
All anglers between 18 and 65 years need to have a national fishing license, it can be obtained for a day, a week or a year at the tourist offices or with Natural Business Authority. Some lakes and streams are rented to angling associations.
If you want to fish in private lakes or streams, it requires a special fishing license, which can also be purchased from The Danish AgriFish Agency. Note that in some places, fishing may be prohibited.
Minimum size and closed seasons
IThe fishing regulations state the minimum size for caught fish and closed seasons for certain types of fish and crayfish. If you catch fish in their closed season or they do not meet the minimum size, you need to put them back in the water. Both the minimum size and closed seasons are adjusted regularly, and it's up to you to stay updated.
