Welcome inside

In Kulhuse, at the top of Hornsherred – where Isefjord and Roskilde Fjord meet – lies this extremely tasteful and well-appointed holiday home, with plenty of space for the family. You step into the hall and continue into the dining room with its lovely kitchen and the bright, cosy living room with lovely furniture – from where you can enjoy the view of the terrace and garden. The dining room is centrally located, offering space for cosy get-togethers over dinner or board games (the cupboard contains a wide selection of games). Two bedrooms and a newly renovated bathroom.

Welcome outside

From the living room, you step directly onto the terrace, which runs along the side of the house; there is a ramp and staircase access, and below the stairs you will find the annexe, which sleeps two. In the garden there is a fire pit and a trampoline, and the large plot offers plenty of space for ball games and play. Enjoy the lovely summer days and fantastic sunsets from the lovely terrace, or a nice lunch with a glass of wine; relax in the sun loungers with a good book, or walk the few metres down to Isefjorden and take a refreshing dip at the nearby beach.

The shed contains various play items (badminton, ball, etc.) as well as two bicycles (child/women’s).

Enjoy the surroundings

Nordskoven, home to Denmark’s oldest oak trees – some over 1,000 years old – is just a 10-minute cycle ride from the house, where you’ll find cycling and walking routes. Take a trip to Jægerspris and visit Jægerspris Castle, and enjoy an ice cream from Isboden, which has been serving ice cream since 1913.

From Kulhuse, the small ferry Columbus departs for Sølager (journey time approx. eight minutes); you may wish to take your bike and explore Hundested, which features a glassblowing workshop, galleries and craftspeople, as well as the polar explorer Knud Rasmussen House, which is not only fascinating but also boasts what is arguably the most beautiful setting, overlooking the Kattegat.

Driving distance:

Roskilde 35 km (40 mins) with the Cathedral and a wide selection of restaurants

Frederiksund 18 km (15 mins) with the Viking site and a wide selection of places to eat.

Copenhagen 59 km (60 mins) – Tivoli, the Opera House and everything a big city has to offer.
