Outdoor life is a big part of the ex­pe­ri­en­ce here, and a lovely sunny terrace awaits, where you can lean back and let the holiday calm settle in. From here, you have a view over the garden, down towards the fire pit and further on to the small stream that runs at the end of the plot. This gives the garden an almost fairytale-like at­mosp­he­re, where both children and adults can explore, find peace or gather around the fire when evening falls.

The terrace quickly becomes a natural gathering place for lovely mornings, lunch in the open air and evenings with blankets around your shoulders while the embers from the fire pit slowly burn down. Here, there is room to enjoy the holiday at the pace that suits you best.

Gjerrild Nord­s­trand is a popular and child-friendly area, perfect for a relaxing holiday. The beach, with its fine sand and shallow water, is ideal for both sun­bat­hing and playing by the water’s edge, while the Blue Flag ensures that the bathing water is clean and safe. The nearby dunes are perfect for exploring, and the area is known for its excellent op­portu­ni­ties to find amber along the beach. If you enjoy fishing, Gjerrild Klint is one of Djursland’s best places for sea trout fishing. For bird lovers, the cliff is one of Denmark’s most popular places to observe both local and migratory birds.

The area is full of lovely walking and cycling routes, and from the holiday home you can cycle to Bønnerup, a peaceful and charming desti­na­tion. Grenaa is only a 20 minute drive away, where you can stroll through the pe­de­stri­an streets and shop, enjoy a nice dinner at one of the pavement cafés or visit Museum Østjylland. Kat­te­gat­cen­tret, where you can get close to sharks and other marine animals, is also a must see. From Grenaa Harbour, you can take the ferry to the Swedish town of Varberg or to the small island of Anholt, both offering unique ex­pe­ri­en­ces.

For families, a visit to Djurs Som­mer­land is always a hit. The park, located half an hour from the house, is the largest amusement park in the Nordic region and is known for regularly adding new at­tra­ctions.
