A completely renovated gem in Ommel
House-ID: AE332Welcome inside
Just about 100 meters from the water in cozy Ommel you will find this beautiful and thoroughly renovated holiday home, where quality, comfort and real holiday atmosphere go hand in hand.
Inside, you are greeted by a bright and inviting home that has been renovated from end to end and decorated in a calm, neutral and luxurious style. Here, both functionality and the small details that make the holiday extra pleasant have been thought of. Underfloor heating in all rooms also ensures a nice comfort - even when the holiday on Ærø is outside the hottest summer months.
On the ground floor you will find three lovely bedrooms, all furnished with double beds, as well as a modern bathroom with washing machine.
On the first floor, the house opens up into a large and atmospheric living room, where the kitchen, dining area and living room blend naturally together. There is plenty of space to gather around meals, play a game, plan the next day's experiences or just enjoy a quiet evening together after a day on Ærø.
All in all, you get a really nice and complete holiday home, which is very suitable for both the family and several adults who want to spend their holiday together.
Enjoy life outside
When the sun is shining over Ærø, it is obvious to move the holiday life outside.
The cottage has a large and beautiful terrace with plenty of space for both relaxation, play and long holidays under the open sky. Here, morning coffee can be enjoyed in peace and quiet while the day's plans take shape, and in the evening, the family can gather around the barbecue and enjoy the long, bright summer evenings.
There is plenty of space for the children to romp around while the adults find a favourite spot on the terrace. And with only about 100 meters to the water, it's easy to grab the towel under your arm and walk down to the shore when the summer weather calls for a dip.
Ommel is precisely one of the places on Ærø where the pace naturally slows down. Here, the water, nature and the cozy village environment are close by, and the holiday can be about the most important thing: time together.
Get close to local experiences
With a holiday home in Ommel, you have a very good starting point for experiencing the whole of Ærø. At the same time, you live close to Marstal, where the island's proud maritime history is still a living part of the town.
Marstal is Ærø's largest town and was once one of Denmark's most important maritime towns. Take a walk through the cozy streets and further down to the harbor, where the maritime environment still leaves its clear mark. A visit to the Marstal Maritime Museum is highly recommended, and in the streets of the town you will also find shops, cafés and restaurants.
If you drive the other way, Ærøskøbing awaits you – also known as the Fairytale City. Here, the cobbled streets wind between colourful, well-preserved houses, small shops, cafés and restaurants. The town is vibrant all year round and known far beyond Ærø for its special atmosphere and the many brides and grooms who choose Ærøskøbing as the setting for their wedding every year.
A trip to the western part of the island is also worth setting aside time for. Visit Søby, Søby Mill and the impressive Skjoldnæs Lighthouse, where the view of the South Funen Archipelago, the Little Belt and the Baltic Sea on a clear day is absolutely fantastic.
And the best part is that the distances on Ærø are short. The free bus makes it easy to get around, and in a very short time you can move from beach and village idyll to cozy city life, harbor environments and some of the island's most beautiful natural areas.
On Ærø, we are close to everything – and at Feriepartner Ærø we are also close to you. We are locals, know the island and are ready if you need help, good advice or inspiration during your holiday.
