Welcome inside

Are you dreaming of a holiday where tranquility, nature and a view of the water set the pace? Then this beautiful holiday home in Borgnæs is an obvious choice. Here you live in one of Ærø's most sought-after holiday home areas – surrounded by open fields, forest and coast, and with the water only a few minutes' walk from the house.

The cottage is bright and spacious with plenty of space for both the family and several generations on holiday together. From the entrance there is access to the bathroom, which has both a shower and a bathtub, and further in, the house opens up into a large living room with an open kitchen.

The living room quickly becomes the natural gathering point. There is plenty of room for cozy meals, games and long evenings together - and from several of the rooms of the house you can enjoy the beautiful view of the water.

The house has three good rooms and an extra available room that is furnished as a bedroom. This provides great opportunities to gather the whole family under one roof and at the same time have room to retreat.

Enjoy life outside

Borgnæs is very much about life under the open sky. At the house you get plenty of space around you and a lovely secluded terrace, where the holiday days can begin with morning coffee in the sun and end with barbecue and cozy summer evenings.

The beach is only about 100 meters from the cottage, and here you will find both a bathing jetty and the opportunity to pull up a smaller boat. This makes the area ideal for summer days with swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing or just relaxing by the water's edge.

Borgnæs is one of Ærø's few actual holiday home areas, and it is precisely the combination of beach, nature and peaceful holiday atmosphere that makes the area particularly popular with both children and adults. Bring your fishing rod or fishing net – perhaps the greatest holiday experience of the day will be caught right down by the water.

Only a few hundred meters from the cottage there is a small forest that the Danish Nature Agency established in 1990 with, among other things, oak and beech. Within walking distance you will also find Stokkeby Nor, which has been designated as a Natura 2000 area due to the area's special coastal nature and importance for breeding birds. Here there are plenty of opportunities for walks and small nature experiences close to the house.

Get close to local experiences

Even though you live peacefully and close to nature, it is only about 4 km to Ærøskøbing – the charming town that is called the Fairytale City for good reason. Here you will find colourful, well-maintained houses, cobbled streets and a vibrant environment with cafés, restaurants and exciting little shops.

Ærøskøbing is not a museum town, but a town where life is lived in the middle of the historic surroundings. In the summer, the streets are buzzing with life, and it is not unusual to meet a newlywed couple on their way through the city – Ærø is known far beyond the country's borders as a wedding island. From Ærøskøbing, the ferries also sail regularly to Svendborg.

If you want to experience more of the island, the distances on Ærø are short. To the east lies Marstal with its strong maritime history, cozy harbor, shops and restaurants. A visit to the Marstal Maritime Museum is an obvious experience for both children and adults and provides a vivid insight into the seafaring that has characterized the town for generations.

To the west you will find Søby, Ærø's smallest main town, beautifully located by the harbour and close to some of the island's most spectacular natural areas. From here, it is not far to Skjoldnæs Lighthouse, where the view from the northern tip of Ærø stretches over the South Funen Archipelago, the Little Belt and the Baltic Sea. Around the lighthouse is also Ærø Golf Club with its impressive location right next to the sea.

On Ærø, experiences are never far away. Here you will find beach, nature, cozy urban environments, local specialty shops, good eateries and small moments that quickly turn into holiday memories. And with free buses on the island, it's easy to leave the car and explore.

This holiday home in Borgnæs is therefore an obvious starting point for those who want to combine relaxing holiday days close to the beach with Ærø's many local experiences - all in quiet and scenic surroundings.
