You enter the holiday home’s hallway, which leads to the bathroom, and continue into the central living area comprising the living room, dining room and open-plan kitchen, as well as access to three bedrooms. From the living room, there is direct access to the lovely wooden terrace.

Enjoy life outside

Enjoy the large wooden terrace where you can open a bottle of wine and light the barbecue. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet with a good book, or play some fun games. A lovely, secluded plot, fenced in and with a large lawn – plenty of space for games and activities. Enjoy a short walk to the water, about 500 metres away.

Enjoy the surroundings

The holiday home village of Hyllingeriis is situated close to Roskilde Fjord. Here you can enjoy nature, go for a swim in the fjord and spend time with family and friends.

In the area around Hyllingeriis, there are several walking and cycling routes, including the Fjordlandsruten, which winds its way through the beautiful countryside; take a trip to Skuldelev Ås, where there are also lakes for swimming. You can also take the Columbus ferry from Kulhuse – situated at the northernmost tip of Hornsherred – to Sølager and explore Arresø, Denmark’s largest lake. There are cycling and walking routes around the lake, or you can head to Hundested, where there is a wide selection of restaurants and shops.

Get a taste of the local area by stopping off at the many farm shops and specialist shops found in North Zealand. Several restaurants also focus on local and organic produce. You’ll easily find plenty of delicacies to take back to your holiday home.

To the north of Hyllingeriis lie Jægerspris and Jægerspris Castle. In Nordskoven near Jægerspris stood Denmark’s three oldest oak trees: Storkeegen, Snoegen and Kongeegen. Only Kongeegen remains, and it is estimated to be between 1,500 and 2,000 years old. This makes it the oldest oak tree in Northern Europe.
