Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions

Orø offers tranquil­li­ty, nature, an authentic at­mosp­he­re, footpaths, beaches and local culture. The island has ap­proxi­ma­te­ly 14 km of marked footpaths. Explore and discover exciting botany and wildlife while you are out in nature. You can also cycle around the island on your own or a rented bicycle. There is a beach and water for both a swim in the Isefjord or perhaps a canoe/kayak trip along the shallow coast. Visit Orø Church or one of the local cafés/re­stau­rants, Bings, located right in the middle of the island. If you want more ex­pe­ri­en­ces, just hop on the ferry to Holbæk, whose town centre exudes a great at­mosp­he­re and cosiness and calls for a brisk shopping trip. Here you will find a wealth of cafés, bistros and re­stau­rants to suit every taste and budget.
