Neat and well-kept holiday home – 725 meters from the beach at Store Sjørup
House-ID: 8960Welcome inside
Welcome to “Lille Altamar” – a well-kept and cozy wooden holiday home with a practical layout, where the holiday spirit greets you the moment you step through the door. The house features three lovely bedrooms – two with twin beds and one with a double bed. With two bathrooms, there’s extra comfort, and in the open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area, you’ll gather for cooking, board games, and holiday fun. In the living room, the wood-burning stove spreads its warmth and gentle crackling on cooler days, creating that special Danish holiday atmosphere. The utility room is well equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and an extra fridge – ideal for cold drinks and a little added holiday luxury. Lille Altamar is a delightful little time capsule, where you can relax and enjoy the charm and cozy atmosphere.
Enjoy life outside
Here, there is plenty of space for both relaxation and play. On the two inviting terraces, you can enjoy everything from slow mornings with freshly brewed coffee and birdsong to warm summer evenings with the scent of barbecue in the air and a glass of wine in hand as the sun sets behind the trees. The large green lawn with lovely trees invites you to play, kick a ball around, or have a picnic under the open sky – and with a little luck, a curious squirrel might drop by on its hunt for winter treats. For the children, a swing set and room to play are waiting, while the adults can lean back and simply enjoy the peace. And when you feel like a swim or a trip to the beach, the sea is only 725 meters away – just a short walk down the road, and soon you’ll be standing with your feet in the soft sand. There’s plenty of parking space, a carport, and a charging station for your electric car.
Get up close to the local attractions
This holiday home is located in a beautiful natural area in northern Djursland. The nearby beach at Store Sjørup is one of Djursland’s fine bathing spots. At first, you’ll find a fjord-like seabed along the coast, but as you wade into the shallow water, you’ll discover sandbanks and the open sea stretching as far as the eye can see. The beach almost resembles a tidal flat, with clear differences between high and low tide, small tidal channels, and saltwater pools. About 10 km from the house, you’ll find the charming ferry port of Udbyhøj with a small marina and good fishing opportunities. From here, you can take a cable-pulled ferry across to the Randers side, where you’ll be greeted by a lovely white sandy beach with a Blue Flag and some of Denmark’s cleanest bathing water. If ferries aren’t quite your thing, we recommend a trip along the north coast – a beautiful route that’s both cycle- and walking-friendly. For more nature experiences, a visit to the Coast and Fjord Centre is highly recommended, just as Gl. Estrup Manor, the stone graves at Tustrup, and Northern Europe’s largest amusement park, Djurs Sommerland, are also well worth exploring. All in all, Djursland is a treasure trove of experiences – and if you crave even more, Randers and Aarhus are just a short drive away.
