Large windows let the light pour in and create a seamless flow between indoors and outdoors – so you can enjoy the morning sun, birdsong and holiday feeling whether you're relaxing on the sofa or out on the terrace.

At the heart of the house is the elegant kitchen with high-quality materials, generous work surfaces, and a con­ve­ni­ent Quooker that makes holiday cooking a breeze. From here, the open-plan dining area flows into a cosy living room furnished with practical leather seating – perfect for board games, relaxing chats or a good film.

When the day winds down, four lovely bedrooms await – three with com­fortab­le double beds and one family room with both a double bed and a spacious bunk bed in adult size.

The bright, stylish bathroom invites you to unwind after a day in the sun. Enjoy a long shower while the washing machine and tumble dryer take care of sandy towels and swimsuits. And with an extra guest toilet, there’s no queue during the busy morning hours.

As an extra holiday treat, there’s also an outdoor shower – ideal for rinsing off the last grains of sand under open skies while the sun warms your shoulders and the holiday feeling sinks in deep.

Enjoy life outside

The large, sunny terrace and the green garden will quickly become the heart of your holiday. Find a sunny spot for your morning coffee, retreat into the shade with a good book, or gather around the table for a delicious dinner under an evening sky painted in soft shades of pink.

The lawn is perfect for fun and games – whether it’s a round of ball games, tag or just laughter filling the air. Young holiday guests will love the play area with sandbox, swing, climbing frame and slide – a place where imag­i­na­tion can run free.

As dusk falls and the children go to bed with rosy cheeks, peace descends upon the house. Light up the outdoor fireplace, wrap a blanket around your shoulders and enjoy a good glass of wine to the crackling of flames and the stillness of a starry night.

Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions

On your way to the holiday home, stop by the charming little town of Gjerrild, where you'll find Sostrup Castle, a beautiful church, the local inn and a well-stocked grocery store.

Gjerrild Nord­s­trand is a lovely, family-friendly beach with soft sand, Blue Flag waters and gentle dunes – perfect for young children. Just nearby is Gjerrild Klint, one of Denmark’s best birdwat­ching spots and a favourite for coastal sea trout fishing. The area also offers many great hiking, running and cycling routes – including the North Sea Trail, which stretches all the way from Udbyhøj near Randers Fjord to Grenaa.

The old market town of Grenaa is just 20 minutes away and offers cosy pe­de­stri­an streets, cafés and at­tra­ctions like the Kattegat Centre and Museum Østjylland. And for a full day of fun and thrills, Djurs Som­mer­land – Scan­di­navia’s biggest amusement park – is only half an hour’s drive from the house.
