Welcome to a lovely holiday home with a truly special location on the harbour in Bønnerup Strand. Here, you stay right in the heart of the maritime setting, where the sea, harbour life and holiday at­mosp­he­re come together in the most natural way. The holiday home has a simple and fun­ctio­nal interior, and it is first and foremost the location, the at­mosp­he­re and the closeness to the coast that set the scene for your holiday.

The holiday home is arranged over two floors and offers a relaxed at­mosp­he­re where you can quickly feel at home. From several of the windows, you can look out towards the harbour and the sea, giving you a wonderful sense of being close to the water and the lively harbour en­viron­ment. This is a straight­forward and un­com­pli­ca­ted holiday setting – with plenty of space to enjoy the days at your own pace.

On the ground floor, you will find a fun­ctio­nal kitchen and dining area, where the day’s meals can be enjoyed around the table. Perhaps the day begins with fresh breakfast rolls and coffee while you plan a trip to the beach, a walk along the harbour or a visit to the fis­h­mon­ger. From the dining area, there is direct access to the terrace, making it easy to move meals outside when the weather invites you to enjoy your holiday under the open sky. In the dining room, there is also a sofa bed where you can take a midday nap or fold it out to use it as extra sleeping space.

The ground floor also includes a bathroom and a practical entrance hall with space for coats, shoes and beach bags. This is con­ve­ni­ent after a day of fresh sea air, sand between your toes or a walk along the pier. There is also a good spot for the dog to have its paws dried and settle in after the day’s ad­ven­tu­res. The washing machine and tumble dryer in the entrance hall make the holiday even easier, espe­ci­al­ly when beach towels and everyday pra­cti­ca­li­ties need taking care of along the way.

On the first floor, you will find a living room with com­fortab­le sofas and a TV. Here, you can withdraw after a wonderful day and enjoy the view of the harbour en­viron­ment, where boats, masts and the changing colours of the sea become part of the holiday ex­pe­ri­en­ce. One bedroom is furnished with a king-size double bed, and via the stairs, you have access to a loft with standing height and two good single beds.

Enjoy life outside

The holiday home has terraces on both sides, so you can follow the sun for much of the day.

The terrace at the front of the house is enclosed, allowing you to enjoy the morning pea­ce­ful­ly without worrying that the dog will slip out to explore the harbour life. The morning can begin with a cup of coffee while Bønnerup Strand and the harbour slowly wake up around you. Fishing boats, crab piers, a fish-cleaning area and sailing boats with gently swaying masts form a natural part of the scene. It gives the holiday a very special at­mosp­he­re, where you can feel that you are staying close to the place where life by the sea unfolds.

All the pra­cti­ca­li­ties are close by. The popular fis­h­mon­ger is just 150 metres from the holiday home, so there are plenty of op­portu­ni­ties to bring fresh fish home for lunch or dinner. Re­stau­rants and cafés are also within easy reach, and shopping is simple at Brugsen, which is located ap­proxi­ma­te­ly 500 metres away and is open all year round.

And then, of course, there is the lovely beach, which was awarded the Blue Flag in 2026. Here, you can enjoy a swim, a walk along the water or simply let your gaze drift out across the sea while holiday calm settles in.

Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions

Bønnerup Strand is an at­mosp­he­ric coastal town with an authentic harbour at­mosp­he­re, where fishing boats are still part of everyday life and the pace remains calm all year round. Here, you can fish and catch crabs from the platforms on the piers and af­terwards clean your catch at the shared fish-cleaning area on the harbour. It is a simple and enjoyable holiday ex­pe­ri­en­ce that both children and adults can enjoy together.

In summer, the harbour is full of life with re­stau­rants, small shops and happy holiday guests, while winter invites you to enjoy peace, fresh sea air and long walks along the coast. Whatever the season, you can buy freshly caught fish from the fis­h­mon­ger and sup­ple­ment it with local produce from Brugsen. If you bring an electric car on holiday, charging is available at both places.

The area around Bønnerup Strand offers open landsca­pes, beautiful nature and the sea as your closest neighbour. It is ideal for walks along the coast, di­scove­ring good viewpo­ints or simply letting the day unfold according to the weather and the holiday mood.

Enjoy lunch on the harbour or dinner made with local in­gre­di­ents – for example at Café Kajkanten or Frk. Kejser, where the at­mosp­he­re is informal and the view is maritime. Re­stau­rant Laura and Ha­ve­gril­len are also good choices, and they are open for most of the year.

Djursland is made for those who enjoy the good things in life. Here, you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce historic manor houses and castles, explore small town settings and visit some of the area’s many natural gems. Sangstrup and Karlby Cliffs offer ex­cep­tio­nal nature ex­pe­ri­en­ces with dramatic views and beautiful walking routes along the coast, where the sea and landscape reveal them­sel­ves at their very best.

The area also invites you to take trips through beautiful deciduous forests and open landsca­pes, where you can enjoy the peace and fresh air. Should you feel like a little city life, Aarhus and Randers are within ma­na­geab­le distance – both offering a wide selection of shopping, culture and at­tra­ctions.
