Enjoy life outside
Holiday life continues in the beautiful, enclosed courtyard, which quickly becomes a natural gathering point on the warm summer days. Start the morning with freshly brewed coffee in the sun, relax with a good book in the afternoon hours, and end the day around the barbecue with delicious food and a cool glass of rosé wine, while the last rays of sunshine color the sky for the day.
Just a stone's throw from the house you will find a lovely sandy beach where you can take a refreshing morning dip, build sandcastles with the children or simply enjoy the view of the South Funen Archipelago.
If you like to experience nature at a leisurely pace, one of Ærø's most beautiful cycling and hiking routes is nearby. Here, the path follows the coast all the way to Marstal through a varied landscape with sea views, salt meadows and small cozy places to stay along the way.
Get close to local experiences
The holiday home is ideally located in the historic old Ærøskøbing, which gives you easy access to some of the island's greatest experiences.
Ærøskøbing – the charming "Fairytale Town" – is considered among Denmark's most beautiful market towns. The cobbled streets, colourful townhouses, cosy cafés, speciality shops and cosy restaurants create a very special atmosphere all year round. The city is also known as one of Europe's most popular wedding destinations, and it is not unusual to meet newlywed couples celebrating love in the romantic streets.
Marstal, which is only a 20-minute bike ride away, exudes maritime history and a vibrant harbor environment. Take a walk along the marina, visit the exciting Maritime Museum, enjoy lunch at one of the town's cozy cafés or experience the special atmosphere in the small shopping streets, where the town's proud maritime traditions still live on.
If you want to explore the rest of the island, it's easy. Take a trip towards Søby and experience Skjoldnæs Lighthouse, the spectacular seaside golf course or some of the island's many nature experiences. With free buses all over Ærø and short distances between the towns, it is easy to get around and experience everything that makes the island so special.
On Ærø, presence, nature and authentic experiences go hand in hand.
