Inside, the house is spread over two levels and offers a warm and welcoming at­mosp­he­re. On the ground floor you will find a spacious kitchen-dining room, where the family naturally gathers. There is room for cooking, board games and long dinners, while the day's ex­pe­ri­en­ces are shared around the table.

Throug­hout the house, you will feel the fine balance between modern fa­ci­li­ties and cozy details that make it easy to feel at home – and even easier to spend your holiday.

Enjoy life outside

Outside, the large, child-friendly garden opens up as a green sanctuary. Here the children can play freely while you enjoy the tranqui­li­ty and the beautiful sur­ro­un­dings. It is a place where the pace slows down and where holiday life is lived at eye level.

From the terrace on the 1st floor, you can let your gaze wander over the fields and the sur­ro­un­ding ar­chipela­go. Here it is obvious to start the day with a cup of coffee or end the evening with a view of the last rays of the sun.

For the active, the po­s­si­bi­li­ties are many – bring your bikes and explore the island at your own pace, or try your luck with the fishing rod along the coast, where nature and silence go hand in hand.

Ærøskøbing is an ex­pe­ri­en­ce in itself – one of Denmark's best-preserved 18th-century towns and with good reason known as the Fairytale City. The cobb­le­sto­nes, hol­lyho­cks and small, colourful houses create a very special at­mosp­he­re that is felt in every street.

Explore the cozy alleys and notice the small details – like the narrow "slipways" that connect the streets, or the historic door painted with an old mixture of oxblood and oil. Take a walk along the Molestien, or stop by the harbor, where you can get in­spira­tion for a little city walk.

In the summer, you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the city in a very special way with the wat­ch­man's evening walks through the old streets – an at­mosp­he­ric journey back in time. The year also offers ex­pe­ri­en­ces such as the Ærø Jazz Festival and the cozy Christmas market.
