A peaceful little hideaway in Vejby Strand
House-ID: 1698Welcome inside
A cosy holiday home awaits you here, with plenty of room for the simple pleasures of holiday life. The house is not large, but that is part of what gives it such a pleasant, relaxed and down-to-earth atmosphere. It is the kind of place where you quickly settle in, leave the pace of everyday life behind and let your holiday begin at its own unhurried rhythm. Inside, the setting invites you to enjoy time together, slow mornings and quiet evenings when the experiences of the day can gently settle. Open the doors onto the large wooden terrace and the boundary between indoors and out begins to disappear. Suddenly, the holiday home feels much more spacious, while the surrounding nature becomes a natural part of your stay just beyond the door.
Enjoy life outside
The large wooden terrace is one of the holiday home's loveliest places to spend time. On warm days, it naturally becomes the gathering point from morning until evening, whether you start the day with coffee in the morning sun or finish it with a drink beneath the open sky. The garden surrounding the house is green and lush and has been designed with butterflies in mind, making it especially enjoyable simply to sit back and watch the life around you. From time to time, fallow deer and roe deer also wander quietly through the garden, a lovely reminder of just how close you are to nature. Trees and shrubs surround the grounds, while the position at the very end of a quiet cul-de-sac brings a rare sense of peace, privacy and true holiday-home tranquillity.
Get up close to the local attractions
Although the quiet setting can make the house feel like a little hideaway of its own, you are still close to many of the things that make Vejby Strand such a lovely place for a holiday. A short walk takes you towards the beach, where the fresh sea air, changing light and sound of the waves soon become part of the natural rhythm of your days. Nearby, you can also explore Heatherhill, known for its open, rolling landscape and beautiful views across the Kattegat. It is an inviting place to lace up your walking shoes and simply follow the paths through nature without needing to plan the day in advance. Here, a holiday is as much about the small pauses as the outings: a walk to the water, a quiet moment in the garden and the simple pleasure of having plenty of time.

Recommendations from Holiday home owner
My favourite walk takes me to Heatherhill, where I love looking for beautiful and rare butterflies. From there, I walk home along the beach and often enjoy a dip in the sea along the way.
If I feel like getting my heart rate up, I go mountain biking in Tisvilde Hegn or for a run around Heatherhill.
On Saturdays during the summer holidays, I especially enjoy visiting the Tisvilde flea market and the market days in Vejby.
I am also a frequent visitor to Tisvilde Bio, or I enjoy a delicious piece of cake from Salekildens Kaffe & Kage or Café Havestuen.
