The house is built in solid wood in a Norwegian style with vaulted ceilings and large exposed beams. It is well maintained as it is only rented out for a short period. The spacious living room is combined with the dining area, providing plenty of space for socializing. There are three bedrooms with a total of six beds. All beds are brand new quality mattresses with new duvets and pillows. There is one double bed and four single beds. The renovated bathroom is equipped with a toilet and a new shower cubicle. The well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, ceramic hob, convection oven, and fridge/freezer. Free firewood is provided for guests. All in all, a really lovely house offering great value for money.
Enjoy life outside
The house features a beautiful newly built southeast-facing terrace, equipped with various garden furniture, a parasol, and a good grill (with free charcoal included). From here you can enjoy a stunning view of the Limfjord and the surrounding areas. It’s just a short walk from the house down to the Limfjord where you can swim and enjoy the shared playground in the area. The beach is very child-friendly. There is a large grassy lawn perfect for play and ball games, where you will also find a hammock. The house is situated at the end of a dead-end street, so you will never be disturbed by traffic.
Get up close to the local attractions
The holiday home is located in the small holiday cottage area of Doverodde, right by the Limfjord in southern Thy. The area consists of around 50 lovely holiday homes, all situated on a slope descending towards the Limfjord. This ensures plenty of space between the houses and offers beautiful views from many locations. As only a few houses in this area are rented out, it is a highly sought-after location. It is also worth mentioning that Doverodde has its own marina, making it ideal for guests who wish to bring their own boat or kayak.
As a special highlight, you have the opportunity to visit SMK Thy, the newest branch of Denmark’s National Gallery. We invite you to explore the art through their exhibitions and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of the museum.
Shopping and dining options are available in the nearby market town of Hurup, which also offers the popular Sydthy Swimming Pool and the Sydthy Golf Club with an 18-hole course. Heading west across Thy, you will reach the coastal town of Agger and the North Sea, which is also a popular excursion destination. If you enjoy hiking, you can follow the beautiful coastal trails, and during the summer months the area is ideal for water sports such as kayaking and windsurfing. If you would like to swim in the wonderful North Sea, the charming town of Vorupør – with its small shops and fantastic sea bath – is only a 10-minute drive from the holiday home and is another popular destination.
