This house is located on the long island of Ekerö, southwest of Stockholm, which is connected to the mainland by a bridge. It stands on an 800 m² garden plot in a resi­den­ti­al area on the Gällstaö headland, which juts out into the fres­hwa­ter lake Mälaren, only about 400 m from a public bathing area with a jetty. This house is very popular with guests who want to be close to Stockholm. It is an inhabited resi­den­ti­al house that is rented out when the owners are on holiday them­sel­ves. You can go shopping on the island about 3.5 km from the house. Other places to visit include Drot­t­ning­holm Palace, the residence of the royal family, about 9 km away, and the centre of Stockholm, which can be reached by bus in about 40 minutes. From there, you can also take various boat trips to the ar­chipela­go east of the city centre.

Fa­ci­li­ties
Built in 2008, the house has a living area of ap­proxi­ma­te­ly 160 m². There are four bedrooms with a total of five beds: one of the rooms has a double bed, two rooms are furnished with a single bed each, and the fourth bedroom has a sofa bed. Each floor has a cosy living room with a view of the lake. The living room on the upper floor, which is equipped with a wood-burning stove, te­le­vi­sion and CD player, opens onto a balcony, which also offers lake views. The living room on the ground floor has a cosy sitting area and a large dining table. From there, you can also access the veranda, which is equipped with garden furniture, an outdoor pool and a table tennis table, and offers views of the lake in the distance. A well-equipped kitchen offers eve­ryt­hing you need to indulge in culinary delights. It is open plan and has an electric stove, oven, dis­hwas­her, microwave, coffee machine (Jura), fridge and freezer, as well as a dining table and a high chair. In addition, guests have access to two bathrooms: one with a bathtub, shower and toilet, the other with a shower, toilet and sauna. In the utility room, you will find a washing machine and dryer. Wi-Fi is also available. On request, you can use up to five mountain bikes (1 women's bike, 1 men's bike and bikes for 6-, 12- and 14-year-old children).

Important in­for­ma­tion
With a minimum booking period of one week, arrival and departure are possible on any day. This is a non-smoking house. One pet is welcome. Bed linen and towels can be ordered in advance for EUR 10 per person if required. You are re­spon­sib­le for thorough final cleaning. A deposit is required at the time of booking, which will be refunded after you leave the house without any damage and provided that the final cleaning has been carried out properly. Consump­tion costs are included in the rental price; however, electric vehicles may not be charged.
