Welcome inside
Behind the red wooden façade, the house’s cosy and at­mosp­he­ric rooms are ready to welcome you. In classic holiday home style, there are high ceilings with exposed beams and rustic wooden wall panelling, and from the living room, a ladder leads up to a loft. If you’re ho­li­daying with children, they’ll no doubt enjoy climbing up here to play while the adults cook in the kitchen or relax in the living room’s sofa area. The armchair next to the wood-burning stove is the perfect spot to read or knit on a cool evening. And when it’s time to say goodnight, you can stop by the bathroom to brush your teeth before settling into one of the two bedrooms.

Enjoy life outside
When the summer weather is warm and inviting, it’s tempting to open the living room’s glass door and move out to the terrace on the green natural plot. A partially covered terrace lies on the west side of the house, while the south-facing terrace is com­ple­te­ly open, so you can assess the sun and wind before choosing your seat. To truly turn up the holiday vibe, you can bring cool re­fres­h­ments outside and start lighting the garden grill so it’s ready when it’s time to prepare dinner.

Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions
Solbakken ends in the beautiful dune landscape that surrounds Kan­de­ste­der­ne. The beach is about 900 metres away, and the North Sea is a stunning sight in all kinds of weather and at any time of day – whether you’re taking a walk on a windswept autumn afternoon or admiring the sunset on a calm summer evening. Nature lovers will also enjoy visiting Råbjerg Mile, which is de­light­ful­ly close by, and if you can’t get enough of beach, sand, and sea, you can drive to the Kattegat and the bre­ath­taking coastline along Ålbæk Bay. The drive to Skagen takes less than 20 minutes, making it easy to include museum visits and fine dining in Denmark’s nort­her­n­most town in your holiday plans.

Remember that at Fe­ri­e­part­ner Ålbæk you can always borrow handcarts, hig­h­chairs, and cots. You can pick them up directly at our office and return them again once your holiday has come to an end.
