Sjællands Odde is a gem by the coast, where the sea and nature meet in a unique symphony. Welcome inside

The centre in this wonderful holiday house is the big living room with the open kitchen, where you simply cannot get your eyes off the sea – Kattegat – gli­ste­ning right outside and in constant change. From every seat by the big dining table and from the soft sofas you have a panoramic view, front row to the beautiful landscape and the light blue sea. After a walk on the beach it is lovely with a tour in the sauna, and if you want an even bigger treat, you jump into the lowered spa bath. From two of the three bedrooms there is direct access to the terrace. Here you find every po­s­si­bi­li­ty to relax and just enjoy nature.

Enjoy life outside

Even though it might be a windy day, you may enjoy nature behind a low windbreak. You may move the sun bed around on the terraces, so that you do not miss the sun at any time. There is also a covered terrace, where you can enjoy your lunch or barbecue the fish for supper, while the dew is falling in the evening dusk. You can hardly get closer to beach and nature, and you will enjoy ap­pre­ci­at­ing the peace and quiet, you find here at the top of Sjællands Odde – on Gniben.

Get close to the local at­tra­ctions

In August the annual Mackerel Festival takes place at Odden harbour; a fierce com­pe­ti­tion to catch the biggest mackerel. The harbour is seething with life all through summer with happy people looking to feel the good at­mosp­he­re. During Whitsun holidays the many artists and artisans in Odsherred have special opening hours in their workshops and galleries. But you may easily do your own art route all year round, as Odsherred houses an abundance of pictorial weavers, ceramic artists and potters, glass artists, painters and several other art forms. We at Fe­ri­e­part­ner Odsherred suggest you to visit Anneberg Culture Park close to the harbour and just south of Nykøbing on the grounds and in the buildings of the former mental hospital. Here you find a Museum for Psy­chi­a­try, telling the story about the SNS Mental Hospital Nykøbing Sjælland, and also the Artist Wing, a community for con­tem­porary artists. Here 30 very different artists, covering fields as pictorial art, em­broi­de­ry, ceramics, ar­chi­tec­tu­re, jewellery, literary acti­vi­ties, plays, sculpture, pho­to­grap­hic art and textiles, have their workshops and galleries in the former ad­mi­ni­stra­tion building.
