Gniben at Sjællands Odde offers excellent op­portu­ni­ties for both swimming and fishing from two different shores – the Kattegat coast and Sejerø Bay. You will be staying in an area of diverse nature and rich birdlife, with great hiking trails and a short distance to the charming harbor town, Havnebyen. Here, you’ll find a year-round fis­h­mon­ger with its own smo­ke­hou­se, several re­stau­rants, and a maritime at­mosp­he­re with sailboats, fishing boats, and acti­vi­ties for the whole family.

Settle into the lovely sofa and enjoy the peace – bring out your knitting and spend a few hours on your handiwork or a gripping book. Meanwhile, your partner can prepare a delicious meal in the kitchen or on the large gas grill or perhaps bake a cake to enjoy together. Here, peace and quiet reign, and there is no need to rush.

Enjoy life outdoors
The grounds and sur­ro­un­dings are cha­ra­cte­rized by natural ve­ge­ta­tion, and the blue sea is just 500 meters from the house. Make yourself com­fortab­le on the large terrace, which can be enjoyed from morning to night while you listen to the birdsong and keep an eye out for visiting deer. As the day draws to a close, the fire pit is the perfect gathering spot for making campfire bread, enjoying warm drinks, and having cozy chats under the open sky.

The large, open lawn of 300 m² invites to play and activity. Here you can play croquet, Mölkky (Kubb), or even a game of darts. After a re­fres­hing dip in the ocean or hours spent with a fishing rod – there are great chances for a catch along the Kattegat coast and the steep cliffs of Ebbeløkke – you can rinse off the sand and sea under the wonderful outdoor shower.

At Fe­ri­e­part­ner Odsherred, we recommend a hike at Ebbeløkke Stræde, just a few ki­lo­me­ters from the holiday home. Following in the footsteps of the old cattle herders along this hi­sto­ri­cal path, a fantastic ex­pe­ri­en­ce awaits as you crest the hill and look out over the entire Sejerø Bay. The view is so beautiful that you’ll want to sit by the stone wall and enjoy a re­fres­h­ment before con­ti­nu­ing down the slope past the scenic natural forest, Solåsen. Both sides of the lush moraine soil feature wooded slopes with authentic natural forests. From here, you have a mag­ni­fi­cent view of both Kattegat Sea and Sejerø Bay. If you ap­pre­ci­a­te fine wine, we also highly recommend a guided tour and tasting at the local winery, Ørnberg.
