When you spend your holiday by Vesborg Ligh­t­hou­se, you stay in one of Samsø’s most at­mosp­he­ric historic settings. The ligh­t­hou­se itself was built in 1858 together with the Ligh­t­hou­se Keeper’s House, and the area is located by the old castle mound, where the medieval castle Vesborg once stood. Today, you can still sense the presence of history in the landscape, and by the ligh­t­hou­se and the old powder house, you can explore the stories of Samsø’s past. At the same time, Samsø is an island that invites you to explore at an easy pace, with coastal walks, small island villages, local produce, charming harbour settings and beautiful landsca­pes.
