In the living room, you’ll find a large dining table with space for everyone, sur­ro­un­ded by windows that fill the room with light and offer views of the garden. Com­fortab­le furniture creates a perfect spot for games, a good book, or a cup of coffee.

The ground floor also includes a dining area, TV lounge, and a bathroom. The entrance hall serves as a practical di­stri­bu­tion space, ideal for arriving with luggage or returning after a day of local ad­ven­tu­res.

Although you are in Ballen near re­stau­rants and the lively harbor area, you can enjoy your holiday in private and peaceful sur­ro­un­dings. The garden is enclosed, and the large lawn provides plenty of space for play and re­laxa­tion.

From the living room, you can step directly onto the terrace, making it easy to take meals outside. On sunny days on Samsø, you’ll always find a com­fortab­le spot in a sun lounger or on the garden furniture.

Ballen is a popular holiday town with many re­stau­rants and a lively harbor during the summer. There are small concerts and acti­vi­ties such as crab fishing for children. The town also features one of Samsø’s best sandy beaches, and if you prefer swimming from a pier, there is one close to the house.

Ballen is only 5.5 km from Samsø Golf Club, a beau­ti­ful­ly located 18-hole course. Near the golf course lies the village of Besser, known for the charming café and shop “Søster Sidevind.” Besser also has a lookout tower, offering views over the island’s east-facing fields.

Just a few ki­lo­me­ters from the house is Samsø’s largest town, Tra­neb­jerg, with excellent shopping, specialty stores, the Samsø Museum, and the tourist in­for­ma­tion office, where you can find more in­spira­tion for your holiday.

A trip to northern Samsø offers bre­ath­taking natural ex­pe­ri­en­ces. A walk in the Nordby Bakker hills is highly recom­men­ded, with both short and longer trails through the beautiful Ice Age landscape and views stret­ching to Tunø, Jutland, Zealand, and the Kattegat. When hunger strikes, a visit to the charming historic village of Nordby is recom­men­ded, with several good re­stau­rants and small shops selling local products.
