From the kitchen, you have an open view of both the living room and the garden, making it easy to prepare dinner while still joining the con­ver­sa­tion with those relaxing in the lounge. The dining area offers plenty of space for everyone, and the large windows provide beautiful natural light and views of the garden.

The large floor-to-ceiling windows continue into the living room, where the garden door can be fully opened onto the covered terrace. This creates a wonderful con­nection between indoor and outdoor living, and it is easy to step outside whenever the weather allows. In the living room, you will also find a cozy sofa corner and armchairs – perfect for relaxing and enjoying your holiday.

A wood-burning stove stands at the heart of the living room, easily creating warmth and a welcoming at­mosp­he­re. You can also switch on the TV and unwind with a good movie.

The covered terrace is ideal for outdoor meals or a quiet moment with a good book. The house has two terraces – one facing southwest and one facing east – and your morning coffee should un­doub­ted­ly be enjoyed here.

Ex­pe­ri­en­ce the local area

The holiday home is located at Mårup Øster­strand, a quiet holiday home area close to a beautiful sandy beach. After a short walk, you will reach the beach, which is perfect for a re­fres­hing swim.

In Mårup, you will find a grocery store, and you can also rent bicycles here. Exploring Samsø by bike is a wonderful ex­pe­ri­en­ce, as the small villages and natural at­tra­ctions are all within short distances. Mårup Harbour is located ap­proxi­ma­te­ly 1.5 ki­lo­metres from the village and is a peaceful little harbour with a scenic setting.

Nordby is a charming and historic village with a village pond and its iconic bell tower. Here you can enjoy a nice lunch or treat yourself to an ice cream. Don’t miss a walk through the Nordby Hills, including a visit to Bal­leb­jerg, the highest point on Samsø, where you can enjoy stunning views of Jutland and the island of Tunø.

Southern Samsø also offers many charming villages with local shops, cafés and galleries. In Tra­neb­jerg, you will find several grocery stores, Samsø Museum and the island’s tourist in­for­ma­tion centre.
