The living room is a natural gathering point where you can relax on the sofa and enjoy the view, talk about the day’s experiences, or turn on the TV. From the living room there is also a door leading out to the terrace, where you can spend even more time enjoying the unique location.

This lovely holiday home in Ballen Strand is ideal for those who want to stay in bright surroundings with a fantastic sea view, while having Ballen’s restaurants and shops just around the corner.

Enjoy life outside

The holiday home is located in Ballen Strandpark – an attractive area for both locals and visitors on Samsø. The houses are relatively close to one another, but great care has been taken to ensure both privacy and views. This holiday home is no exception, and it is wonderfully relaxing to take in the view from the east-facing terraces, where there is space both to relax in the sun with a book and to enjoy your meals outside. In front of the terraces, there is a lawn offering an unobstructed view of the sea, just 100 metres from the house.

There is free access to the lovely sandy beach with clear water, also only 100 metres from the door. It couldn’t be easier to take a refreshing swim in the sea.

For children, there is also a playground in the Strandpark, where they can safely walk and play.

Get up close to the local attractions

Ballen Strandpark is located just 300 metres from Ballen, a cosy and lively harbour town in summer, offering a wide selection of restaurants and shops. Visit, for example, the local smokehouse with fresh fish or Den Gamle Butik, Mad og Vinbar, where you can truly enjoy life in Ballen. Walk along the beach to Ballen or hop on a bicycle and explore the area.

Tranebjerg is only 5 kilometres away and is the largest town on Samsø, with several grocery stores and speciality shops. Here, you will also find the Samsø Tourist Information Centre and the Samsø Museum, both well worth a visit. Throughout southern Samsø, you will find charming villages with local shops, galleries and cafés. At the southernmost tip of the island, you can visit the Vesborg Lighthouse and enjoy the unique views of Zealand, Funen and Jutland.

If you drive further north, don’t miss Langør – a beautifully situated little harbour town by Stauns Fjord. Nordby is also a charming village with an iconic bell tower and village pond, where you can enjoy a good lunch or an ice cream. In the Nordby Hills, you’ll find many walking routes leading you through the gently undulating glacial landscape. Issehoved, Samsø’s northernmost point, is always a stunning sight, no matter the season.
