Dreaming of a holiday in peaceful and beautiful natural surroundings? Then this charming cottage on Fur, situated in the front row to Færker Vig with a stunning view over the salt marsh and water, is definitely worth a closer look.

Welcome inside
This thatched cottage has stood here on the east coast of the beautiful Limfjord island since 1974 and has since been renovated to serve as a lovely holiday home for up to six people. The kitchen has been modernised, and there is a flat-screen TV with DVD player in the house — but no Wi-Fi, giving you the chance to take a break from social media if you need it. In the living room, you can light the wood-burning stove before curling up on the sofa with hot tea and a crossword puzzle or gather around the dining table for some cosy board game time. On the ground floor, you will also find a shower bathroom and a bedroom, while the first floor offers two rooms with extra sleeping spaces. Please note that one of the rooms is a walk-through room, which also gives access to a covered balcony.

Enjoy life outside
Having a balcony on the first floor is nice, but you will probably spend even more time relaxing on the large terrace area surrounding the house. Part of the terrace is covered, and here you will find, among other things, a fish cleaning table if you’ve been lucky on your fishing trip. In the evenings, you can grill your own catch — or alternatively something from the supermarket — while enjoying the peaceful and scenic surroundings. The lawn on the natural plot is delightfully spacious, and connected to the terrace is a fenced dog run of about 200 m².

Get up close to the local attractions
A holiday on Fur means unforgettable experiences in stunning natural surroundings. Via a private path, it’s only 200 metres to the beach, and here at Færker Vig, you have good chances of catching sea trout and garfish in spring. Fur is especially known for the steep moler cliffs on the north coast, where you can hunt for fossils or simply take a walk in the spectacular landscape. At Fur Museum, you can see the most remarkable fossils and learn more about Denmark’s geological history. When hunger strikes, there are several great places to eat on the island — including a restaurant at Fur Brewery, which also offers guided tours and hosts concerts.

The Limfjord is characterized by a hilly terrain with many beautiful views over Denmark's largest fjord. Here you will find small and large islands, local ferry connections, beautiful bridges, and cozy market towns with small marinas. The fjord, with its many beaches, is surrounded by plantations, fields, and cliffs, which forms the basis for unique nature experiences, on foot, by bike, by boat or by car. The flat, gently sloping beaches are perfect for families with children.
