There are many fine hiking trails in the area, and you can also explore the island by bike. If you feel like a swim, you can drive to the broad sandy beach at Lakolk, where you can park right down at the water's edge. There are several good shopping options on the island, and you will be within walking distance of the local butcher, who offers high-quality local spe­ci­al­ties – including the famous marsh lamb.
