Charming holiday home with lovely garden in the heart of Liseleje
House-ID: 1637Stay in the heart of Liseleje close to the beach and local life
Welcome inside
Stay in the heart of Liseleje within easy walking distance of the beach, local shops and the relaxed atmosphere of this charming seaside town. This holiday home on Lærkevængevej combines peaceful holiday surroundings with a central location, making it easy to enjoy both quiet moments and the lively summer mood around town.
The first thing you notice when stepping inside is the light. Large windows allow the sun to flood the open living area, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The living room and kitchen are connected, making it easy to spend time together while cooking, playing games or simply relaxing after a day by the sea. On cooler evenings, the wood-burning stove adds warmth and true Danish holiday home coziness.
As the day comes to an end, everyone can retreat to one of the three bedrooms – two with double beds and one with twin beds – all overlooking the green garden outside. The house is rented exclusively for holiday stays and is therefore not suitable for craftsmen or work-related accommodation.
Enjoy life outside
Outside, a lush and private garden awaits, filled with birdsong and the crackling sound from the firepit. Start the morning with coffee on the terrace, enjoy an afternoon nap in the hammock between the trees, or gather around the grill for long summer dinners outdoors. The spacious wooden terrace naturally becomes the heart of outdoor life during your stay.
As darkness falls and the fire glows softly in the garden, it becomes wonderfully easy to slow down and embrace the peaceful rhythm of holiday life.
Get up close to the local attractions
With only 460 metres to Liseleje Beach and 340 metres to the local grocery store, you can leave the car behind and explore everything on foot. Take an early morning swim, pick up fresh pastries for breakfast or wander through the small streets filled with cafés, ice cream shops and local boutiques.
For beautiful nature experiences, visit nearby Hyllingebjerg and enjoy the sunset over the Kattegat Sea, or hop on your bike and explore Tisvilde Hegn – one of Denmark’s oldest forest plantations with dunes, winding trails and the unmistakable scent of Danish summer. Here in Liseleje, beach, forest, town life and tranquility are all right outside your door.

Recommendations from Holiday home owner
Beach: You can walk to the beach in 5-10 minutes: The house opposite has a large trampoline in the front yard. Next to it runs a path. Follow the path (it cuts across a few roads). When you reach the end of the path, turn left onto the coastal road – and shortly after turn right onto a new path that goes directly down to the beach.
Restaurants: "Mamas & Tapas" on the square in Liseleje is quite nice. Restaurant "Knud" at the harbor in Hundested is also recommended.
Groceries: The grocer on the square is open every day and is highly recommended. There is also a good bakery in town, which is open every day. In Asserbo, there is a smaller supermarket "365discount," which is open later in the evening than the grocer in Liseleje.
Fishmongers: There are fine fishmongers at the marina in Frederiksværk and at the harbor in Hundested.
Walks: There are countless good walks in the area. The forest and heath east of Liseleje are lovely – even in winter. The forest starts right after the bakery on the way out of town. If you walk through the forest, you come to Zealand's largest (and strictly speaking: only) heath, Melby Overdrev. To the west, you can take a brisk walk to Hyllingebjerg, which is a beautiful viewpoint. To the east, you can walk all the way along the beach to Tisvilde (about 10 km).
Running routes: There are running routes marked in the forest at 1.5 km, 3 km, 5 km, 8 km, and 10 km. The routes start in Asserbo, at Nyvej, the parking lot at Melby Overdrev. It is 2.5 km from the summer house to the starting point.
Cycling route: The North Coast Route goes through Liseleje. Follow the signs for cycle route 47. If you go west, you can reach Hundested. The other way, the cycle route goes through the forest to Tisvildeleje – and further towards Helsingør.
Eco-village: Denmark's oldest eco-village "Dyssekilde" is located in the village of Torup (4-5 km from here). There is a good cafe/restaurant. There is also a shop with good eco-products. Every other Saturday there is a market at the station. There are other activities in Torup – see the calendar at www.torupting.dk
Bus and train: On Lindebjergvej, there are stops for bus route 327. One way, the bus goes to Frederiksværk, where there is a station and shops, etc. From the other side of the road, the bus goes to Melby station. You can take the train to, for example, Dyssekilde or Hundested, where there are also shopping opportunities. Copenhagen can be reached with a change at Favrholm or Hillerød station. Timetables can be checked at www.rejseplanen.dk – where there is also an English version.
Attractions: At www.visitnorthzealand.com there is information about the region's attractions. It is worth visiting Kronborg in Helsingør or Louisiana in Humlebæk. The labyrinth in Gilleleje is a fun place for children.
