Holiday Home Grönvik - Great but simple holiday home for nature lovers

A beautiful holiday home for nature lovers, located in a nature reserve. It is situated about 50 km south of Växjö, just outside the mu­ni­ci­pa­li­ty of Tingsryd, in a secluded location directly on Lake Stora Hensjö. The house has its own private lake access and jetty exclu­si­ve­ly for guests. Shops, a post office and ATMs can be found in Tingsryd, ap­proxi­ma­te­ly 5 km away.

Fa­ci­li­ties
This charming cottage dates back to the 17th century. It ori­gi­nal­ly stood at a different location and was carefully rebuilt by its owner at its current site directly beside Lake Stora Hensjö, pre­ser­ving its original character. The cottage features a spacious combined living and sleeping area with rustic fur­nis­hin­gs and sleeping space for two guests. There is also a kitchen equipped with an electric stove, fridge-freezer and an open fireplace. The house can be heated electri­cal­ly but does not have a running water con­nection. As the lake provides drinking-quality water (the mu­ni­ci­pa­li­ty of Tingsryd sources its drinking water here), the water supply is not a problem. Fresh water can also be collected in con­tai­ners from the owner's house, about 300 m away. An outdoor shower and a sink with cold water are available. Both are supplied with lake water by a pump. A separate small guest house with two ad­di­tio­nal beds provides ac­com­moda­tion for more guests. A special highlight is the wood-fired sauna located in a small out­bu­il­ding. The tra­di­tio­nal outdoor toilet (outhouse) is located in a third out­bu­il­ding.
Guests also have access to garden furniture, a barbecue and a rowing boat. The private property includes exclusive lake access and a private jetty. There is also an open fireplace by the lakeshore with a tripod grill.

Special In­for­ma­tion
Arrival is possible on any day of the week. The minimum stay is 7 days. Pets are welcome. Smoking is only permitted outside the house. Bed linen and towels can each be rented for 15 EUR / person if required. Guests who do not wish to carry out the final cleaning them­sel­ves can book it as an optional extra. An electric boat motor can be rented on site for 1,000 SEK / week. A fishing permit (Fiskekort) is required for fishing in Lake Stora Hensjö. The ho­meow­ners speak English.
