Location of House ‘Ella’

The typical red holiday home ‘Ella’ is located in a secluded spot in the deep forest in the southern Swedish region of Småland, near the village of Ryd. With a bit of luck, you may even encounter moose there. The nearest bathing spot is 9.6 ki­lo­metres away at Lake Sandören, where fishing is also permitted. You can buy the necessary fishing licence online at iFiske, where you can also hire boats at your own risk. The large and popular Lake Åsnen is about 19 ki­lo­metres away. Grocery shops, re­stau­rants and cafés can be found in the towns of Ryd (approx. 8 km) and Häradsbäck (approx. 11 km).

Interior

The 45 m² house com­fortably ac­com­moda­tes up to 4 people. You reach the front door via the small covered terrace with garden furniture and barbecue at the rear, and then enter a small entrance area located in the centre of the house. This leads you to the kitchen on the right-hand side with a small dining area, which contains eve­ryt­hing you need to prepare and serve common dishes for 4 people, including a fridge and freezer, oven, ceramic hob with four hotplates, microwave and filter coffee machine. From the kitchen, you can continue into the bedroom with two single beds. Through this, you also reach the spacious bathroom with toilet, shower and washing machine via another small hallway. The other two sleeping places are provided by the double sofa bed in the living room. The latter is located on the other side of the house, to the left of the entrance area. There you will find the dining table for all guests, com­fortab­le armchairs, a sofa, a flat-screen TV and a fireplace that fills the room with cosy warmth on cool evenings.

Fishing permits and boats on the sur­ro­un­ding lakes can be rented online via iFiske.

Electri­ci­ty consump­tion is charged at €0.35 per kWh and deducted from the deposit.

Bed linen and towels can be booked as an option for €12 per person.

Final cleaning can be carried out as an option for €100.

Internet can be booked as an option for €20 per week.
