The holiday home is located on a won­der­ful­ly quiet lakeside property directly on Lake Sidlången near Vissefjärda in Småland. Here you stay in the middle of a green forest landscape and reach the lake with your own private jetty after about 50 m. The fish-rich lake, covering an area of 96 ha, invites you to go fishing or relax by the shore. Another house, “Hökamåla” (KAL805), is also located on the property. Thanks to the offset po­si­tio­ning, both houses enjoy a private at­mosp­he­re. Subject to avai­la­bi­li­ty, both houses can be booked together, making them ideal for trips with larger groups such as families or friends. The village of Vissefjärda, where you will find a grocery store, a pizzeria and a café, is about 6.5 km away. Around 2.8 km to the north lies the trout lake Svartgöl. For larger excur­sions, the cities of Karlskro­na, Växjö and Kalmar are all about a 50-minute drive away. The sur­ro­un­ding area offers a wide range of leisure acti­vi­ties, including the event location “Ängalunds Gård” near Emmaboda with go-karting, paintball, quad biking and clay pigeon shooting. Two elk parks also offer exciting ex­pe­ri­en­ces: “Glas­ri­kets Älgpark” near Nybro at a distance of about 39 km and “Grönåsens Älgpark” near Kosta, about 48 km away. In Kosta itself, you will find Sweden’s oldest glas­swor­ks, which invites visitors to watch and take part. Vimmerby with Astrid Lindgren’s World and the island of Öland are also ideal desti­na­tions for day trips.

Fa­ci­li­ties

The house offers plenty of space for up to 8 people on 130 m². There are four bedrooms (1× two single beds, 3× double beds, one of the double rooms ad­di­tio­nal­ly with a children’s bed), as well as two cosy living rooms, one of which includes a dining area. The kitchen is equipped with an in­te­gra­ted tra­di­tio­nal wood-burning stove, a 4-burner ceramic hob, oven, wood stove, extractor hood, fridge-freezer, microwave and coffee machine, com­ple­men­ted by a small dining table in the centre. The bathroom features a shower and WC. In addition, there is a utility room with dis­hwas­her, washing machine, tumble dryer and a guest WC. For en­tertain­ment, internet access and smart-capable TVs are available. One TV in the living room offers German channels. Outside, a large terrace awaits you with garden furniture, sun loungers, a barbecue and an outdoor pool, which can be used even in chan­geab­le weather thanks to its flexible cover. A large glass sliding door provides direct access to the seating areas and the pool area. Parking spaces are available on the property. As extras, a rowing boat, an electric motor, a canoe and a wood-fired hot tub with massage jets are at your disposal. The large pool is heated and can be used between mid-May and mid-September. A wood-fired sauna with a fantastic view of the pi­c­tu­resque sur­ro­un­dings is also included.

Special Features

Arrival and departure are always on Saturdays or, outside the high season, on other weekdays upon request. Electri­ci­ty costs, firewood and internet are included. Pets are allowed on request for an ad­di­tio­nal fee. A security deposit is required and will be refunded after the house has been vacated properly. Bed linen and towels can be booked for EUR 18 per person. For families, high chairs and ad­di­tio­nal travel cots for babies are available. Life jackets in various sizes are also provided. For dogs, an extra food and water bowl is available.
