Snaptun is a charming harbour town with a small ferry and fishing port, making it the perfect starting point for island hopping. There are daily ferry de­par­tu­res to the island of Endelave, located just an hour from Snaptun. During the summer, the bicycle ferry also takes visitors on foot or by bike to the island of Alrø.

Just south of Snaptun lies Tønballe Nature Centre in Tønballe Forest, only 1 km away via a scenic path – a great ex­pe­ri­en­ce for the whole family. The coastal path from Snaptun to Ju­els­min­de is ideal for a walk, so lace up your shoes and enjoy the beautiful stretch between the two harbour towns. By car, Ju­els­min­de or Horsens can be reached in about 15 minutes.

A visit to Ju­els­min­de is highly recom­men­ded – it is known for its cosy maritime harbour, child-friendly beaches, and lively town centre with in­te­r­e­sting shops, re­stau­rants, and at­tra­ctions. The at­mosp­he­re is calm and relaxing, yet full of acti­vi­ties for families to enjoy.

You can also visit the brand-new Nature Play Park near the harbour, featuring 8-metre-high play towers built into Odels­b­jer­get, plenty of play­gro­und equipment, fa­ci­li­ties, and even two new padel courts. With so many options, there is something for everyone – and fun for hours on end.

About 15 minutes from Snaptun lies Horsens, home to the fa­sci­nat­ing Prison Museum and Aqua Forum. The Snaptun area offers beautiful nature trails – we recommend a walk along the coastal path to Ju­els­min­de or a peaceful stroll through the park at Palsgaard Manor.
