This several-kilometre-long inland cliff was formed during the Ice Age and offers steep slopes, fa­sci­nat­ing ve­ge­ta­tion and specta­cu­lar viewpo­ints. From here, you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the unique meeting of forest, hills and coastal scenery that makes the area around Slet­te­strand so special.
Just a few ki­lo­metres away lies Fosdalen, con­si­de­red by many to be one of Denmark’s most beautiful natural areas. This lush valley cuts through the landscape with steep hillsides and an almost fairytale-like ap­pea­ran­ce, making hiking a wonderful ex­pe­ri­en­ce throug­hout the year. Svinkløv Plantage is also well worth a visit. Here, you will find an extensive network of trails through forest, heathland and rolling terrain, perfect for walking, running and mountain biking. At several points, the landscape opens up towards the North Sea, and the com­bi­na­tion of sea, forest and hills creates something truly unique.
Slet­te­strand itself offers a wide sandy beach, a welcoming holiday at­mosp­he­re and excellent op­portu­ni­ties for swimming, fishing and long walks along the shore. Remember, you can always borrow carts, hig­h­chairs, and baby cots from us at Fe­ri­e­part­ner Jam­mer­bugt. You can pick them up directly at the office and return them when your holiday is over.
