House-ID: FJ1028
Welcome inside
A new 120m² holiday home built in 2018, tastefully decorated to a high standard using quality materials and featuring all the necessary facilities. You step into the entrance hall, which provides access to the bathroom and one bedroom with a view of the fjord; from there, you enter directly into the large living area with kitchen, dining area and the living room, offering panoramic views from the entire room of the fjord and the large garden. Off the hallway are four bedrooms and, in one part of the house, two lovely bathrooms. From the living room, there is direct access to the large, beautiful wooden terrace with steps leading down to the garden.
Enjoy life outdoors
Enjoy the large wooden terrace where you can open a bottle of wine, light the barbecue and relax over delicious meals. Here you can enjoy the tranquillity and the fantastic sunsets. Sit down with a good book, or play a game. The large garden is laid out with space for hammocks, four lovely sun loungers, a trampoline and a pétanque court; on the large lawn, there’s plenty of space for play and games (disc golf, football goals, trampoline, etc.). Take a stroll down to the water – make yourself comfortable by the campfire site or lie on the sun lounger right by the jetty and listen to the water lapping gently. The fjord is ideal for stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking because of the shallow water.
Enjoy the surroundings
The holiday home village of Kulhuse is situated close to Isefjorden and Roskilde Fjord. Here you can enjoy nature, go for a swim in the fjord and spend time with family and friends.
In the area around Kulhuse, there are several walking and cycling routes, including the Fjordlandsruten, which winds its way through the beautiful countryside. Take a dip in the waves at Kulhuse Beach, which is very child-friendly. You can also take the Columbus ferry from Kulhuse to Sølager and explore Arresø, Denmark’s largest lake. There are several cycling and walking routes around the lake. You can set off on an adventure to Hundested, where there’s a wide selection of restaurants and shops, or to Lynæs, which has a charming harbour and is a fantastic spot for kitesurfers.
Get a taste of the local area by stopping off at the many farm shops and specialist shops found in North Zealand. Several restaurants also focus on local and organic produce. You’ll easily find plenty of delicacies to take back to your holiday home.
From Kulhuse, you can quickly reach Jægerspris and Jægerspris Castle. In Nordskoven near Jægerspris stand Denmark’s three oldest oak trees: Storkeegen, Snoegen and Kongeegen. Kongeegen is estimated to be between 1,500 and 2,000 years old. This makes it Northern Europe’s oldest oak tree. During the summer months, a visit to Poulsens Ishus – founded way back in 1913 – is also well worth it.
