Here you get an older holiday home with plenty of classic holiday charm and an atmosphere that brings to mind holidays from a time when the days moved a little more slowly, coffee was enjoyed on the terrace, and the children played in the garden from morning until evening.

The house has retained much of its original character, and that is very much part of the experience here. Quite simply, it is an honest and charming holiday home.

Welcome inside

Inside, you are welcomed by an older holiday home where much of the original style has been preserved. Here, the atmosphere is relaxed and informal, allowing your holiday to quickly find its own pace. The large living room becomes a natural gathering place during your holiday, with room for relaxation, games, good conversations and quiet moments with a book in hand. From the living room, there is direct access to the large wooden terrace, making it easy for summer days to move between indoors and outdoors.

The kitchen is separate and offers good opportunities to prepare your holiday meals, whether the menu calls for an easy lunch after a trip to the beach or dinner to be enjoyed out on the terrace. The house also has a large bathroom with access to the sauna, where you can warm up after a fresh walk or simply enjoy a peaceful moment in the spirit of the holiday.

There are three bedrooms in the holiday home. One bedroom has a double bed, another has two single beds, and the third has bunk beds.

Enjoy life outside

Outside, the most wonderful enclosed garden awaits. Here, children can play freely while the adults find a good spot in the sun or shade. The garden is arranged with a play tower with a swing and slide as well as a sandbox, inviting many hours of play, laughter and bare feet in the grass.

The terrace extends around approximately half of the house, giving you fine opportunities to follow the sun throughout the day. Perhaps you start the morning with coffee in a warm corner, find a place for lunch under the open sky and end the day with a glass on the terrace and the barbecue lit, while peace settles over the garden. There are several sunny corners here, making it easy to find your own little spot.

Get up close to the local attractions

Fjellerup Beach is an atmospheric old fishing village located in one of North Djursland’s most popular holiday areas, right by the beautiful coast. The beach has a Blue Flag and is ideal for families with children, with its dunes, charming little lanes, shallow and calm water, and soft sandy seabed inviting both play and relaxation in the sun.

The nature around Fjellerup is varied and truly beautiful. Here, you can walk through rolling rapeseed fields in spring, follow small paths through light green deciduous forests and cycle along quiet country roads with views of fields and sea. The coastline is also a true paradise for anglers dreaming of both a catch and a peaceful moment.

There are plenty of experiences waiting in the local area. For example, take a trip to the impressive Mejlgård Castle or the historic dolmens at Tustrup, where ancient history appears in the landscape. Gl. Estrup Danish Manor & Estate Museum offers both history and activities for the whole family.

Just 15 minutes from Fjellerup lies Djurs Sommerland, the largest amusement park in the Nordic region and a sure favourite for both children and adults. If you drive half an hour to the east, you will reach the old market town of Grenaa, where Kattegatcentret invites you to discover sharks, penguins and colourful marine life.

For a day trip, both Randers and Ebeltoft are only about an hour away by car. In Randers, you can visit the Elvis museum and explore the lush Randers Tropical Zoo. In Ebeltoft, cobbled streets, the Glass Museum and, not least, the nature of Mols Bjerge await. And should you feel like a day in the city with shopping, culture and café life, Aarhus is never far away – Jutland’s capital has something for every taste.
