Fjellerup Beach is a former fishing village located in a popular holiday area on the coast of Norddjursland. The beach is very child-friendly and carries the Blue Flag. Here you’ll find dunes, small paths, shallow water, and a sandy seabed. The nature in and around Fjellerup is beautiful and varied, with many walking trails and small roads ideal for cycling trips. Enjoy spring with golden rapeseed fields and the freshest, light green beech forests. Along the coast, there are good opportunities for angling.
Nearby sights include Mejlgård Castle, the stone dolmens at Tustrup, and the manor museum Gl. Estrup. From the house, it’s about a 15-minute drive to Scandinavia’s largest amusement park, Djurs Sommerland, and about 30 minutes to the charming market town of Grenaa, where you can, among other things, meet sharks at the Kattegat Centre. With an hour’s drive, you can reach the southern part of Djursland with Ebeltoft and the national park Mols Bjerge – or visit Jutland’s capital city, Aarhus.
