A summerhouse in the original sense of the word – just 170 metres from Fjellerup Strand
House-ID: 8874Welcome inside
Let’s say it right away – in this charming holiday home you get true cosiness, simplicity, and plenty of authenticity. This is a holiday home in the original sense of the word, where calm settles in and the days are allowed to drift by at a slow pace. The wood-burning stove is the primary source of heat, and there is no Wi-Fi – only presence, nature, and time for each other.
The holiday home offers a bright living room with access to a closed sun terrace, from where you can also enjoy the sea view. On the terrace, you can sit in peace and quiet and let your gaze drift across the surroundings. The small, original kitchen is simple and rustic with two hotplates and a small oven, as well as a stable door leading to the garden. In the living room, the wood-burning stove provides both warmth and a cosy atmosphere on cooler days.
Sleeping arrangements are divided between two bedrooms in the holiday home – one with a double bed and one with a 120 cm wide single bed. In addition, there is an annex with a double bed, heated by a radiator, offering extra space and flexibility for guests or those who prefer a bit more privacy.
The bathroom is large and functional, featuring underfloor heating, a washing machine, and a shower cubicle.
Here you get a holiday home where the charm lies in the simple and unpretentious, and where the holiday feels like a summer holiday “in the good old days”.
Enjoy life outside
You are only 170 metres from a refreshing swim in the blue waves.
The plot is large and lovely with plenty of space for holiday life and relaxation. Take the sun loungers out onto the lawn, relax in the sun, and listen to the sounds of nature.
Between the house and the annex, there is a sun terrace with sea views. This is the perfect spot for both morning coffee and long summer evenings.
On the covered barbecue terrace, you can enjoy cosy family moments with delicious grilled food and fresh local strawberries for dessert.
Get up close to the local attractions
Fjellerup Strand is beautifully located on the northern coast of Djursland and is known for its wide, child-friendly sandy beach with shallow water and a soft seabed. The beach has Blue Flag status, and the area is characterised by dunes and small paths, making it easy to find your own little spot for a day of play, swimming, and relaxation by the water.
The nature around Fjellerup is both beautiful and varied, with many walking paths and small roads that are perfect for relaxed cycling tours. In spring, you can experience the yellow rapeseed fields and the fresh, bright green forests as they burst into life, creating a particularly beautiful landscape.
Many children spend hours catching crabs from piers and the shallow water – a classic holiday activity that creates lasting memories.
There are also many exciting excursions nearby. Visit, for example, Mejlgård Castle, the impressive stone dolmens at Tustrup, or Gl. Estrup – the Manor Museum of Denmark, where history comes alive.
For the whole family, Djurs Sommerland is only about a 15-minute drive away, offering plenty of fun rides and attractions for both children and adults. In about half an hour, you can reach Grenaa, where Kattegatcentret offers experiences with sharks, penguins, and seals.
Within an hour’s drive, even more possibilities open up – Randers with Randers Rainforest and the Elvis Museum, Ebeltoft and Mols Bjerge with beautiful nature and charming streets, or Aarhus, where city life, shopping, and culture provide a lovely contrast to the coastal holiday atmosphere.
Fjellerup Strand is a wonderful starting point for a holiday filled with both relaxation and experiences for the whole family.
