Welcome inside

Welcome to Skakkes Holm, right in the heart of Grenaa’s charming and maritime harbour atmosphere – here, you live in the middle of it all with the scent of saltwater in the air, the gentle clinking of sailboat masts in the breeze, and even the occasional sound of seals being fed nearby. This delightful three-level holiday home is designed for relaxation, togetherness, and views – plenty of views.

Built in 2005 in beautiful grey bricks, the house offers a generous 175 well-planned square metres. There’s plenty of space for a large family or several couples who want to enjoy their holiday together in a warm and inviting setting.

You enter the house on the ground floor, where you’ll find a spacious hallway, three good-sized bedrooms – one with direct access to a small terrace and the shared garden – plus a bright bathroom with a washer and dryer.

The first floor is the heart of the home, with an open and inviting living space that lets in light and sea views through large windows. You’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining table perfect for long holiday dinners, a cosy sofa corner, and a generous workspace area ideal for being creative, playing, working or simply daydreaming. From this lovely room, you can step out onto two terraces, where you can follow the sun from morning till evening.

On the second floor, under charming slanted ceilings, you’ll find a spacious second bathroom, a cosy TV lounge, and two additional bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is separated from the lounge by a wall without a door – perfect if you want to be close to the social spaces while still having your own quiet corner.

At Skakkes Holm, you’re within walking distance of the beach, marina, restaurants, and small, cosy shops. A holiday here is all about unwinding, connecting, and enjoying that true holiday feeling – wrapped in a maritime atmosphere you won’t soon forget.

Enjoy life outside

You’re just a stone’s throw – about 20 metres – from the sparkling sea, where sailboat masts sway in the breeze and create that unique harbour mood. The holiday home sits at the front of the row, giving you a wonderful sense of light, space, and open views – including glimpses of the sea and the lively surroundings.

Directly across the street is the Kattegat Centre – a local highlight that offers hours of adventure for all ages – and around the house, life moves at a peaceful pace with small boats bobbing in the water, calm walks along the quay, and the gentle sound of waves lapping at the shore.

From the first-floor terrace, facing southwest, you can follow the sun’s journey across the sky. There’s room for up to six people – ideal for cosy meals, sunbathing, or a quiet moment with a good book. In the small shared garden, you can stretch out, relax, or roll out your yoga mat under the open sky.

Here, holiday life moves slowly – with the wind in your hair and the sea just steps away.

Get up close to the local attractions

Take a leisurely stroll through the harbour, enjoy an ice cream, and admire the many beautiful ships. Grenaa Marina is buzzing with life and summer joy, and there are several dining spots nearby. The Kattegat Centre, where you can see sharks, penguins, and seals up close, is just across the street.

A short walk takes you to one of East Jutland’s best beaches, with white sand, Blue Flag status, and stunning dunes and natural dips. From the harbour, you can also hop on a daily ferry to Halmstad in Sweden or to the idyllic island of Anholt.

In Grenå town, you’ll find cosy shops, cafés, and the wonderful Museum Østjylland – well worth a visit. Within half an hour’s drive, you can reach the charming town of Ebeltoft, several amusement parks, great food experiences, and other treasures across Djursland. And if you’re in the mood for a day in the city, there are excellent bus connections to Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city.
