Holiday home 8511, Grenå Strand, for 4 people

We live in Grenaa ourselves and therefore use the house as often as we can. Sometimes just to eat dinner on the terrace and sometimes to stay overnight for a few days.

One of the things we love about the place is that there is SO much to see.

From the lower terrace facing south, there is a view of the marina and the yachts sailing in and out. It also offers a front-row seat when there is oc­ca­sio­nal evening music on the quay.

From the upper terrace facing south and from the living room on the first floor, there is a view of the open sea, Havknuden (a viewpoint), the bay, and the coastline. It is a truly beautiful view, where you can see the diversity of the sea, depending on where it meets the land.

In the morning, we like to have breakfast on the balcony in the bedroom, where there is a view of the sunrise and the mouth of the river into the Kattegat. Here you can also see all the ships that have set sail in the early morning and are heading for the open sea. If you like big cranes, you can (with a little help from bi­no­cu­lars) look over to the harbor area, where you can see the big cranes loading the ships.

The beach, the plan­ta­tion, the heath, as well as good ice cream, sushi bars, and other re­stau­rants are within walking distance. If you want a slightly longer walk or bike ride (3 km), you can follow the path directly from the marina and along the river up to Grenaa Centrum, where you will find a lively market town with a museum, our beautiful church, a rich com­merci­al life, and cozy cafes, as well as frequent music and similar events in the square.
