A lovely holiday home in Fjellerup Strand with a cosy fire pit
House-ID: 8890Welcome inside
Imagine a holiday morning where the coffee is enjoyed slowly, while the first plans for the day begin to take shape. Perhaps you will head to the beach with towels under your arm, perhaps the morning will be enjoyed at a peaceful pace while the dog sniffs around outside, or perhaps you will visit one of the many attractions on Djursland.
Inside the house, the living room, kitchen and dining area are gathered in one open space. It is bright and pleasant, with a wood-burning stove and access to the covered terrace, and you can easily talk together while preparing lovely holiday meals.
The three bedrooms give you a good opportunity to spread out when the day comes to an end and you are ready for a good night’s sleep. The lovely bathroom makes it easy to start and end the holiday day in a pleasant way.
Enjoy life outside
Outside, a lovely plot awaits, where the holiday days can be enjoyed at a calm pace. There is room for the dog to be part of the holiday life while you find a good spot in the sun, let the children play or gather the family for pleasant moments under the open sky.
As evening approaches, you can light the fire and settle in comfortably while the embers crackle around the marshmallows and the conversation flows around the fire.
On the covered terrace, you can light the grill and enjoy the scent of dinner, whether the menu is simple holiday food or a long summer evening with plenty of time around the table.
And with the beach less than 500 metres from the house, it is an obvious choice to end the day with a short evening walk to the beach and perhaps an ice cream from the ice cream shop to enjoy on the way home.
Get up close to the local attractions
Fjellerup Strand is a historic fishing village located in an attractive holiday area by the coast in North Djursland. The beach is especially child-friendly with its shallow water and sandy seabed and has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag. Here you will find idyllic dunes and small paths that invite both play and relaxation. The nature in and around Fjellerup is unique and varied, and the area offers many walking trails and small roads that are perfect for cycling trips. Spring brings a breathtaking landscape with yellow rapeseed fields and newly sprung, light-green deciduous forests. Along the coast, there are also good opportunities for angling.
Among the nearby attractions, you can visit Mejlgård Castle, the impressive dolmens at Tustrup and the Danish Manor Museum Gl. Estrup. From the holiday home, it is only around a 15-minute drive to the largest amusement park in the Nordic countries, Djurs Sommerland, and around a 30-minute drive to the charming market town of Grenaa, where you can experience sharks, penguins and unusual fish at Kattegatcentret. For a beautiful drive of just under an hour, you can explore the southern part of Djursland with Ebeltoft and Mols Bjerge National Park or visit Aarhus, the main city of Jutland.
The whole of Djursland has something for every taste and budget – from wonderful nature experiences to cultural attractions, fun activities and animal parks.
