A delightful holiday home retreat where the rhythm of nature sets the pace – just 280 metres from Fjellerup Beach
House-ID: 8868Welcome inside
Sunlight streams in through the beautiful skylights in the living room, highlighting the delightful, airy holiday home style. The renovation has been carried out with great care, with no shortage of inventive details – from the hanging wine glasses on the ceiling to the small creative touches that make everyday life just a little more fun. The kitchen is both cosy and cleverly designed, with a dishwasher and three portable hotplates – two induction and one ceramic – so you can take the cooking out to the covered terrace and bake crispy waffles under the open sky. From the kitchen, a door leads directly to the lovely morning terrace, where you can enjoy the first cup of coffee of the day in peace and quiet. The holiday home has two bedrooms: one with a large bed where the children can safely fall asleep next to their parents, and one with a double bed. The bathroom comes with a washing machine, making it easy to keep up with the holiday laundry.
Enjoy life outside
Outside, you’ll find a natural plot full of life and little discoveries – only 280 metres from the beach. Wander along winding paths between wildflowers and buzzing insect hotels, find a quiet corner in the hammock, light a fire in the fire pit, or spend the night under the stars in the shelter. The children can play in the sandbox or swing high, while the rest of the family competes in a game of pétanque. Everywhere you look, thoughtful little oases invite you to enjoy nature, cosiness, and time together.
Get up close to the local attractions
Fjellerup Strand is a historic fishing village located in an attractive holiday area on the coast of North Djursland. The beach is exceptionally child-friendly with its shallow water and sandy bottom, and it has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag. Here you’ll find idyllic dunes and small paths that invite both play and relaxation. The nature in and around Fjellerup is unique and varied, offering many hiking trails and small roads perfect for cycling. In spring, the landscape comes alive with golden rapeseed fields and newly sprouted, light-green deciduous forests. Along the coast, there are also excellent opportunities for angling. Nearby attractions include Mejlgård Castle, the impressive stone dolmens at Tustrup, and Gl. Estrup Manor Museum. From the holiday home, it’s only about a 15-minute drive to Scandinavia’s largest amusement park, Djurs Sommerland, and about 30 minutes to the charming market town of Grenaa, where you can see sharks, penguins, and curious fish at the Kattegat Centre. For a scenic drive of just under an hour, you can explore the southern part of Djursland with Ebeltoft and Mols Bjerge National Park, or visit the capital of Jutland, Aarhus. Djursland truly offers something for every taste and budget – from beautiful natural experiences to cultural attractions, fun activities, and wildlife parks.
