Imagine waking up to the sound of birdsong and being greeted by a breathtaking panoramic view of the Kattegat and the entrance to Randers Fjord. This is not just a holiday home – it is a house for bon vivants, where every moment delights the senses.

Welcome inside

Inside, the magic continues. You step into a beautiful and solidly built home that exudes comfort and tasteful design. The house offers two living rooms. Downstairs you’ll find the spacious living area in open connection with a lovely dining space and the well‑equipped kitchen, which—with its two ovens and abundance of cookware—invites you to unleash your culinary talents. Here you can enjoy a wood‑burning stove, a magnificent sea view, and direct access through the terrace door to the fantastic outdoor life awaiting you on the terrace and across the grounds.

Upstairs, a second living room awaits—perfect for relaxation and togetherness. This is where you pour yourself a whisky, choose an LP from the house collection, put it on the record player, put your feet up and soak in both the view and the freedom “to just be.” Up here, you’ll also find extra entertainment: table tennis and a shuffleboard table, bringing fun to both children and adults.

When night falls, retreat to one of the delightful bedrooms, where comfortable beds ensure a good night's sleep. Or wander over to the charming annex, which feels like a small cabin and sits right beside the sauna barrel. There is a lovely bathroom both upstairs and downstairs.

In this house, you have only two tasks: make sure there’s ice in the freezer for the kids – and wine in the wine cooler for the adults.

Enjoy life outside

On both the terrace and throughout the property, you are embraced by the beauty and tranquility of nature. Everything here is thoughtfully designed with one purpose: pure enjoyment. You can almost feel the stress melt away as you savor your morning coffee surrounded by rich birdlife—from majestic sea eagles to tiny songbirds.

Part of the garden is fenced, allowing both children and dogs to roam freely and safely. You’ll also find an outdoor dog‑washing station, perfect for rinsing off your four‑legged friend after a day in nature or by the beach.

You can watch the local tugboat guiding ships into Randers Fjord while dreaming of the fish you might catch later in the day. During the daytime, the playground is a paradise for children, and as evening settles in, the family gathers around the firepit for cosy moments with popcorn and marshmallows toasted over open flames. You might even prepare the day’s catch at the covered fish‑cleaning station.

And as the finishing touch, the outdoor area also features a sauna barrel and a wilderness hot tub, allowing you to end the day under the open starry sky after watching the sunset.

Get up close to the local attractions

The local area is truly something special. Here, you can explore treasures and experiences that are unique—and delightfully uncrowded. Udbyhøj is a charming harbor town divided by Randers Fjord, connected by Udbyhøj Ferry, Denmark’s only cable ferry. At Udbyhøj Beach and Marina, you can borrow equipment for crab fishing or explore the surroundings with binoculars and nets.

A trip on the Udbyhøj Ferry takes you along Randers Fjord, part of Nature Park Randers Fjord. On the mainland, a rich wildlife, diverse nature experiences, and a fascinating birdlife await. The area is ideal for hiking and cycling along local paths or national walking and cycling routes, and fishing is a major attraction.

The holiday home and its surroundings offer peace, tranquility, and the perfect base for exploring attractions in Djursland, Randers, and Aarhus – all within an hour’s drive.
