Welcome inside

Imagine a warm summer day as you arrive at a beautiful, aesthetic wooden house that blends seamlessly with the picturesque surroundings. From the very first moment, you feel the calm and holiday atmosphere settle in. The house exudes coziness and well-being – from the bright and inviting interior to the lovely color choices that create a harmonious and stylish ambiance.

The living room is the heart of the house – light and spacious, with plenty of room for shared holiday relaxation. The wood stove is ready to spread warmth and ambiance as the day winds down, and the double doors open up to the terrace, where you can enjoy the view of the sea and let your gaze wander towards the horizon.

The kitchen is both elegant and functional, open to the living room, allowing conversations and togetherness to flow freely – even while cooking. The entrance hall welcomes you with plenty of space and a pleasant feeling that every detail has been carefully considered.

The house features two beautiful bathrooms, one with a washing machine, and three lovely bedrooms. Two of them are furnished with double beds, while the third offers both a double bed and a charming little children's bed (70x140) – perfect for the littlest members of the family.

And as the icing on the cake, the sauna is located in a cozy annex – a wonderful spot to warm up after a swim or a long day full of adventures. For sunny days, a delightful outdoor shower awaits, making it extra fun and summery to freshen up outdoors.

Here, the stage is set for a holiday filled with closeness, relaxation, and lots of wonderful memories – all in an atmosphere of true holiday home idyll.

Enjoy life outside

Around the house, the terrace stretches out, so you can always find the perfect spot to enjoy the sun, shade, or the fantastic view – there’s truly something to look at here! In front of the house, the terrace opens up towards the sea, and you can enjoy the sight of the waves while relaxing with your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening sun.

At the back of the house, a lovely, sunny courtyard awaits – full of shelter and charm. Here, you’ll find access to both the sauna in the annex and the refreshing outdoor shower, which adds an extra touch of authenticity to the summer atmosphere. The courtyard invites you to relax, but also to small adventures: a cozy bonfire spot invites you to make bread on a stick and gaze at the stars, the insect hotel buzzes with life, and small details such as beautiful plants and fine garden art create a special ambiance.

Only 250 meters away, the beach awaits, so you can take a quick trip to the sea and return to your own green oasis. There’s room for both play, peace, and long, slow holiday days – just as they should be.

Get up close to the local attractions

Hegedal Beach lies as a peaceful gem in continuation of the charming Fjellerup Beach – here, nature’s tranquility and the lively charm of the coast meet in perfect harmony. Fjellerup is a former fishing village that today welcomes visitors as a popular holiday destination on the northern coast of Djursland. The child-friendly beach with shallow water and fine sandy bottom is perfect for families who dream of relaxing days with bare feet and inflatable toys.

The area is a true paradise for nature lovers – with a network of paths and small roads winding through forests and over open fields. There are plenty of opportunities to explore on foot or by bike. If you bring your fishing rod, you can try your luck from the shore – and with a bit of luck, you might catch something! Otherwise, you can buy fresh fish locally and still enjoy the taste of the sea.

When you need a break from beach life, the area offers lovely excursion destinations. Take a walk around the atmospheric Meilgård Castle and enjoy a meal at the Castle Inn, or embark on a historical adventure at the impressive burial mounds near Tustrup.

If you're traveling with children – or just looking for fun and excitement – Djurs Sommerland is only 15 minutes away. And in Grenaa, you’ll find the Kattegat Centre, where sharks, penguins, and colorful fish provide exciting experiences. You can also visit the Coast and Fjord Centre, which invites you to active adventures on land, water – and even a bit in the air.

In short: Djursland is full of experiences that will make your holiday unforgettable – and Hegedal Beach is the perfect place to start.

Recommendations from Holiday home owner

One of the highlights is the sea view and the soothing sound of the waves when you’re outside. Enjoy a cup of morning coffee on the terrace by the entrance and take in the view of the sea. Listen to the birds, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot some beautiful butterflies in the garden, where we strive to create an environment that supports biodiversity. You’ll also notice that we let some of the grass grow naturally, providing space for more insects and life, while still keeping areas trimmed for outdoor games.

As the day winds down, grab a couple of garden chairs and perhaps a cold glass of white wine or a cup of tea, and head under the cherry tree to enjoy the sea view. When our grandchildren visit, we love playing by the Ravns Å stream at the beach. Bring a few fishing nets and a bucket and see what little creatures you can catch by the small bridge.

Inside the house, you can also enjoy the sea view. Whether you’re relaxing on the sofa or cooking in the kitchen, the light over the water is stunning. The sunsets are truly beautiful and can also be enjoyed from the picnic table just 250 meters from the summer house.
